Dust hangs in the wind-split air. The ledge is barely wide enough for four feet, and the rockslide has turned the path into a jagged choke point. Butch holds the center, with Sable and Brin tight behind him, while the two predators pace at the edge of the opening.

Sable
Hold the line. If they rush, do not chase them. Make them come to us.

Brin
The ground keeps moving. I need my feet under me.
The First Mountain Predator lowers its head and gathers for a leap. The Second sidesteps, trying to draw Butch off balance with a feint toward the cliff.
Butch answers with a brutal forward drive, forcing the nearest beast back into the broken stone. Pebbles skitter into the void. The second predator hesitates, ears flat, its opening gone.

The First Mountain Predator
Back, then. They are too sharp for this ledge.
Sable snatches the moment, pulling Brin closer and setting them shoulder to shoulder beside Butch. The family line hardens against the wind, ready to move before the predators regroup.
✓ Quest Accepted
Drive off the mountain predators
“I roar and charge the predators, grabbing them by their throats and throwing them off the mountain far into the horizon to their doom”
SUCCESS (Legendary Strength, rolled +0)

Butch lunges through the gap with a roar, and the predators flinch too late.
His hands close on fur and throat, one beast in each grip, boots grinding against loose stone as he drives forward.
The First Mountain Predator is hurled over the edge, vanishing into the gray gulf below.
The Second scrabbles for purchase, claws tearing sparks from rock, but Butch shoves it after the first in one brutal motion.

Sable
Move. Now.
Brin stares into the emptied choke point, then steps hard over the scattered debris as the wind whips the path clear ahead.
