Mud sucks at the old forest path as a carriage lurches to a stop, one wheel sunk to the hub. Rain-dark branches close overhead. Ornate chests rattle in the back, iron bands flashing dull in the gray light.
Rozah the Goblin steps from the trees with her scrap metal great axe on her shoulder. The driver freezes. The noble patriarch leans out the window, red-faced and furious.

The Patriarch
You there, little brute, get away from my carriage!
Two guards scramble in the mud, hauling at their ceremonial blades like the weight alone might save them. The horses snort and strain, but the wheels only sink deeper.

Rozah the Goblin
Heavy chests. Good steel. Better treasure.

The Driver
My lord, if you keep shouting, you will spook the team worse!
A guard plants himself beside the rear door, trying to look brave. His knuckles shake around the hilt. The patriarch jabs a finger toward Rozah, already choosing outrage over caution.

The Patriarch
Goblin, if you have any sense, you will help me pull this cart free. I will reward useful creatures. I will punish thieves.

“A drive my axe into the nearest gaurds face”
SUCCESS (Legendary Melee Combat, rolled -1)

Rozah swings her axe down in a blur of wet iron.
The nearest guard jerks into the blow, and his face folds sideways as he crashes into the mud beside the rear wheel.
His ceremonial blade flies from numb fingers, skittering under the carriage.

The Guard
Agh, no, no, stay back!
The patriarch's shout dies in his throat. The driver goes white and yanks the reins hard, but the horses only dance in place.

The Patriarch
You brute, I said useful, not murderous! Guards, stop her!
The rear of the carriage tilts with the struggle, and one iron-bound chest slides against the door, loud enough for everyone to hear.

The Driver
My lord, let her have something, or we lose all of it!
“"Give me everything and only the guy i just killed has to die" she says cutely with an innocent smile on her face”
SUCCESS (Legendary Intimidation, rolled -3)

Rozah the Goblin
Give me everything, and only the one I just dropped has to die.
Rozah smiles sweetly, axe resting low in the mud. The patriarch goes rigid in the window, then his shoulders sag as fear wins out over pride.

The Patriarch
Fine. Fine, take the damn valuables. Just spare what is left of my people.

The Driver
I will open the rear. Slowly. Nobody move unless she says so.
His hands shake as he unlatches the rear door. The chest bumps hard against it, and the driver grimaces at the sound, already thinking of the loss.

The Patriarch
A ruined journey, a ruined escort, and now I must bargain with a goblin for my family's safety.
The cost lands too, sharp and simple, the guard’s blood darkening the mud and the carriage now impossible to pretend is in control.
“I said im taking everything. That includes the cart. Get out now please.”
SUCCESS (Legendary Intimidation, rolled -2)

Rozah keeps her axe low and points its blunt edge at the carriage wheels, giving the order without shouting. The driver swallows, looks to the patriarch, then nods once. That tiny nod is enough.

The Driver
We get out. Slowly. The cart too, if that is what you mean. Just let us keep breathing.

The Patriarch
Do it. All of it. We are finished arguing with the mud and with her.
The driver unhooks the door and climbs down first, boots slipping in the ruts. The patriarch follows, stiff and pale, clutching his cloak shut as if that can still protect his pride.

The Driver
If the carriage stays whole, perhaps some of this can be salvaged later. If I anger her now, I lose even that.
The rear door swings wider under the chest’s pressure, and the noble luggage spills into view, piled and bound, easy to see and easier to take. Rozah gets what she asked for, but the harsh creak tears through the trees and leaves both men flinching.

The Patriarch
Take what you came for, goblin. Then tell me whether this is the end of it, or whether you mean to strip the horses as well.

New Gift: Noble Burglar
“Horses are good eating meat gfo the boys back home, ill be taking them too”
SUCCESS (Legendary Intimidation, rolled -3)

Rozah the Goblin
Horses are good eating for the boys back home. I’ll be taking them too.
Rozah lets the axe head dip, just enough to make the threat feel easy. The driver’s face drains. The patriarch’s shoulders lock.

The Driver
No. The horses are not part of the luggage.
Rozah takes one heavy step toward the traces. The nearest horse stamps, rolling its eyes, and the leather harness snaps tight with a dry jolt.

The Patriarch
Do not test her. Give them over. Now.
The driver flinches, then reaches for the reins with shaking hands. Dust, mud, and the stink of sweat hang thick between them.
The pair of horses are surrendered, but the driver’s bitten lip says it costs them pride, and the left horse shies hard enough to jerk the yoke sideways. The wagon lurches, and the rear wheel sinks deeper with a wet groan.

Take the horses
“I grab the carriage and lift it and the horses over head so i can take them home”
SUCCESS (Legendary Strength, rolled +0)

Rozah gets both hands under the carriage frame and heaves. Mud screams loose. The whole rear end jerks up, horses and harnesses coming with it in a single wild lift.
The driver stumbles back, staring as his reins rise out of reach. The patriarch loses his footing and grabs the doorframe, white-faced.

Rozah the Goblin
Heavy.
With a grinding snap of wood and a shower of muck, Rozah hauls the carriage higher and settles it overhead. The horses hang beneath the shafts, trembling but secured by the tangled harness.

The Driver
By the saints... she has it.

The Patriarch
Careful, goblin. That is our last intact carriage.
A fresh splinter slices Rozah’s palm, and the load groans over her head, dripping mud onto her tattoos and axe. The road falls quiet except for the horses’ nervous snorts.
