The roots keep rising, not as a wall now, but as a grip. They curl into the palisade posts, split packed earth, and tug the camp inward like it is being rewritten.

Rozah stands in the middle of the trembling ground, both horns still in her hands. The violet pulse runs up her arms and into her shoulders, hot and чужly alive.

A Goblin Lookout

Rozah, look at it. It is not holding the camp anymore. It is changing it.

Hooded Rider

If that spreads into the huts, the tribe loses the camp before the next horn even sounds.

The cracked palisade groans as roots lace through its base, binding wood to soil. The Horn-Bearer lies trapped near the breach, staring at the growing tangle as if counting how fast it can swallow them all.

The Lookout shifts closer, then stops, eyes fixed on Rozah and the horns. The message is plain in the shaking ground, if the tribe cannot master this corruption, there will be no camp left to rule or raid from.

Rozah plants both horns against her own chest and lets the pulse run through her, not at the camp. The violet roots shudder, then peel away from the palisade in a hungry wave, turning toward her instead.

Rozah the Goblin

Rozah the Goblin

It is choosing me.

The ground around Rozah heaves as roots coil up her boots, her calves, her wrists. The huts behind her stop cracking for a breath, spared by the new pull.

A Goblin Lookout

A Goblin Lookout

Rozah, it is leaving the posts. It is coming to you.

Hooded Rider

Hooded Rider

If you can hold it, the camp may hold with you.

The Horn-Bearer stares from the breach as the roots abandon the broken edge and flood inward, wrapping Rozah in a bright, living cage. The camp stands still behind her, its trembling easing into an uneasy pause.

I hold the roots on me and spare the camp

The roots answer Rozah’s will, not the camp’s pain. They tighten around her instead of the palisade, folding into a single pulsing cage as the last splitting posts groan behind her.

Rozah the Goblin

Rozah the Goblin

The camp is off me now.

A Goblin Lookout

It worked. They are holding on Rozah.

Behind the living bars, the earth stops bucking. Cracked hut walls settle. Loose stakes sink back into still mud as the violet glow thins across the yard.

Then keep it there. If that cage breaks, so does the camp.

The pale horn shivers in Rozah’s grip, faint and steady. Across the breach, the Horn-Bearer watches the roots leave the edge and clutch their new prize, trapped and helpless as the camp around Rozah steadies.

I keep the roots bound to me, embracing their hold in hopes they will spare me if i don't resist

Rozah slackens into the cage instead of fighting it. The violet bars do not lash harder, they simply settle, pulsing in time with her breath while the yard outside grows still.

Rozah the Goblin

Rozah the Goblin

It stays.

The roots answer by knitting tighter around her shoulders and axe haft, as if accepting the shape she gives them. Beyond the living prison, the last shudder in the palisade dies away.

Rozah's got it. The camp is holding.

Keep breathing slow. If the roots want her, let them have her attention.

At the breach, the Horn-Bearer stares through mud-spattered vines as the violet light thins from the huts and stays gathered around Rozah instead. The pale horn in her grip gives a faint, steady shiver.

The camp stops tearing apart. The roots remain bound to Rozah, a living ward around the heart of the tribe, while the damage outside is left to stand as it is.

The smooth violet cage tightens its rhythm around Rozah, then the pulse spreads outward through the camp like a command heard and obeyed.

The roots take the order.

Along the palisade, fresh roots rise in low arcs and knit themselves into barriers, bracing broken posts and sealing gaps where the breach still yawns.

I see it. The forest is not tearing us apart anymore, it is being made to stand watch.

The Horn-Bearer strains against their living snare as the pale horn trembles at their side, while the brass horn in the Patriarch's chest gives one dull echo under the roots' glow.

The camp settles into a new shape, half fortress, half wound, and all of it waits on Rozah's next command.
