Ollisir the Silent

Ollisir the Silent

The threads of the weave are jagged. I tried to prune the spider queen's influence, but the rot backlashed. My vision is blurring into grey static.

Ollisir slumps against the weeping stone wall. His fingertips are charcoal black, the skin smoking with necrotic residue. Above them, the ceiling groans, shedding a veil of dust as the hold protests the magical interference.

The walls are coming down, minotaur. Can you hear the mountain laughing? The trap has triggered, and we are all going to be buried in this tomb!

Ollisir is fading fast. If I don't stabilize the structural vibrations, the roof will crush us both. But if I let that pirate keep screaming, he will only invite more instability.

Quiet, you fool. I have not survived a T-Rex and a cave-in only to die because of your captain's petty malice.

Harold draws his dagger, stepping toward the thrashing prisoner, while behind him, Ollisir's breathing grows dangerously shallow.

The air feels heavy, thick with the oily scent of spent magic. If I can ground this energy, the stone might just hold long enough to see us through.

By the oath of the Wildthorn, I command this desecration to end.

Harold extends a massive hand, his fingers tracing sigils in the humid air. A pale, golden pulse radiates from his palm, washing over the cell like a cleansing tide.

The grinding groan of the masonry instantly ceases. The swirling dust settles as if pinned by gravity, and the necrotic smoke clinging to Ollisir's hands vanishes with a sharp, hissing pop.

Impossible. That ritual should have brought the whole mountain down upon our heads. What kind of beast are you?
