Jesse’s attempt at freedom

Jesse bursts from the bank with loaded bags in both hands, torn sleeve and reopened forearm scrape visible through the dust. John reaches the street first.

Four police vehicles swing into view and stop across the escape route. Doors open, officers crouch behind them, and weapons rise toward the criminals.

Gunfire cracks across the street as John fires from the edge of the building, forcing the nearest officers back behind their doors. Glass bursts from a parked vehicle.

John shifts toward the escape car, returning controlled fire while trying to open a path. The engine waits nearby, but police positions overlap across the pavement.

A fresh volley pins the street entrance, and one patrol vehicle rolls forward to seal the remaining gap. John looks back toward Jesse, holding position for only seconds.

Jesse braces the AR-15 and fires controlled bursts across the police line. Officers duck behind doors and vehicles as muzzle flashes and shattered pavement break their formation.

John uses the opening immediately, sprinting low to the escape car. He reaches the rear compartment, throws the bags inside, and locks them beneath the service coverings.

John starts the engine and swings the car toward the building’s service lane. Jesse’s fire keeps the nearest officers pinned long enough for the escape route to open.

The escape car clears the immediate police blockade with the cash and gold aboard. Dispatch records Jesse and John as five-star wanted suspects across Los Angeles.
