The senior official’s demand hangs over the garage. Jesse stands surrounded by armed High Table representatives, while Corsio remains near the stairs and John lies unconscious under medical care.

Your surrender arrangement with law enforcement is already compromised. Federal units are moving on this location, and they will not respect our rules.

A muted radio on one representative’s shoulder crackles with an update: multiple vehicles are approaching the safe house from the east, closing faster than expected.

You brought the government to my door, Jesse. If they breach this garage, every surviving witness becomes evidence against you.

Put down the weapon and speak plainly. Give us a reason to keep you alive long enough to face a tribunal instead of the federal response.

Beyond the sealed doors, distant engines grow louder. John’s breathing remains steady beneath the bandage, but his unconscious presence makes the room’s accusations impossible to separate from Jesse’s choices.

Choose quickly. The High Table can still decide your fate, but the authorities outside are about to remove that privilege from everyone here.

Listen. The only man who gets judgment is you, Corsio. We all leave alive today, or everyone dies. I should have done this before the bank robbery.

Jesse raises his arm, exposing the dead-man switch fixed to a bomb vest beneath his clothing. His pistol remains trained on Corsio as a single bang cracks through the garage.

Nobody moves. Nobody tests him. We leave together, exactly as he ordered.

The High Table representatives lower their weapons and begin clearing the route. Outside, federal vehicles slow at the gates as the armed group emerges under Jesse’s control.

You have forced a temporary truce. The wounded man comes with us, and no one fires unless the authorities fire first.

Corsio walks beside John’s stretcher, stripped of command but alive. Jesse directs the evacuation into separate vehicles, keeping the dead-man switch visible until every survivor clears the garage.

At the edge of Los Angeles, the convoy divides and disappears into the waking city. The High Table loses its hold, Corsio loses his empire, and Jesse vanishes before either law or judgment can claim him.
