The golden road narrows to a thread and carries Asbjorn gently into waking. He opens his eyes beside the shared hearth, the fire low and the room warm around him.
The Shieldmaiden sits near the hearth with one hand resting close to her sword. Across from her stand two adult Norse warriors, each wearing a wolf pelt over his head and gripping a spear. One bears a pale scar across his cheek, a broad-shouldered adult Norse man with wind-browned skin and a thick brown braid showing beneath the pelt; the other watches through narrowed, thoughtful eyes, a lean adult Norse man with pale skin, close-cropped dark hair, and a russet wool tunic beneath the pelt.

Úlfhéðinn 1
You say Freyja marked this hearth, Thor lent his strength, and Odin denied you a crown. Did the gods truly speak so plainly?

The Shieldmaiden
He witnessed them in the gods’ own hall. Whether their counsel makes him wiser remains for his deeds to prove.
The Wolf Spirit lifts its head beside Asbjorn, its faint blue bond tightening for one breath before settling again. The seer lowers his spear point, studying the tether rather than the warrior.

Úlfhéðinn 2
Then the bound wolf has carried a witness into divine places. Tell us, waking warrior, what did Odin require before this hearth could become more than a shelter?
The Shieldmaiden turns toward Asbjorn, and both Úlfhéðinn wait in guarded silence. Beyond the warped walls, morning light touches the snow, leaving the hearth ready for his answer.
“I stand as I look at the two Úlfhéðinn "Indeed I saw Freyja's home and some of the other Gods. Odin seeks for me to turn this place into a village then a kingdom, feel free to create your own homes outside of my own. This is my home that I shall turn into a castle overtime but first what's a castle without a village?"”

Asbjorn Bjornulfsson
Indeed, I saw Freyja’s home and some of the other gods. Odin requires me to turn this place into a village, then a kingdom. Build your homes beside mine, and help make this hearth the first stone of a castle and a generous settlement.
Asbjorn stands before the two wolf-pelted warriors, speaking with the authority of witnessed counsel rather than boast. The Shieldmaiden watches him closely, while the fire settles into a steady crackle.

Úlfhéðinn 1
Then we will raise our homes near yours. A village needs strong hands, clear purpose, and a lord who remembers that shelter belongs to more than its keeper.

Úlfhéðinn 2
I will remain as well. I can watch the roads, mark good ground, and judge which travelers come seeking honest refuge. Your invitation has been accepted.
The scarred warrior lowers his spear and steps toward the open doorway. Beside him, the seer turns his gaze over the snow-covered ground, already choosing where new walls and paths might stand.

The Shieldmaiden
Then your first subjects have chosen their ground. Let us give them a village worth defending, and let the castle wait until the people have roofs, stores, and a road to follow.
The two Úlfhéðinn move outside to inspect the settlement’s edge, their spears upright against the pale morning. The invitation has become an agreement: they will settle beside Asbjorn’s home and help begin the village.
