Claire leads Alex up the back stairs, balancing two pizza slices in one hand and a stolen marker in the other. Below, Dev remains with North, the surrendered intruders, and Darius Venn while the café stays under watch.
The rooftop door clicks shut behind them. Claire backs against it with a playful grin, blocking the exit while the North skyline glows beyond the low brick wall.

Claire
No escaping upstairs, handsome. I brought emergency pizza, a marker, and exactly one very serious agenda item.
She offers Alex one slice, then uncaps the marker and turns toward the nearest patch of weathered rooftop concrete. Her teasing softens as she searches for the right words.

Claire
I love that we know how to plan against danger. We are annoyingly good at it. But I want our life to have plans made because they sound fun, too.

Claire
So tell me, love. After Thursday, when the contracts and threats and evidence are not deciding our calendar, what comes next for us?
Claire draws a small empty calendar square on the concrete and taps it with the marker, smiling warmly but leaving the answer entirely to Alex.
“"Do you want me to be honest?" you ask, your eyes shining as you stare into hers. "I see a future. I truly do." "And in that future," you whisper, letting your hand brush hers, "I want every sunset, every laugh, and every quiet moment to be with you."”
SUCCESS (Legendary Diplomacy, rolled +1)

Alex Mishyma
Do you want me to be honest? I see a future. I truly do. And in that future, I want every sunset, every laugh, and every quiet moment to be with you.
Alex’s hand brushes Claire’s, and the marker pauses above the empty calendar square. His quiet certainty gives the moment its shape, while Meeting Coordination turns a vague dream into a shared place on the page.
Diplomacy carries his words without pressure or performance. The rooftop noise recedes beneath the warmth in Claire’s expression, and the future he describes settles between them as something openly chosen.

Claire
Oh, handsome. You really did choose honesty, didn’t you? Come here, because that is exactly the future I want too.
Claire sets the marker aside and threads both hands through Alex’s, her smile turning bright and wonderfully unguarded. She leans in until their foreheads touch, keeping the empty square between them.

Claire
We’ll fill it with ridiculous plans, lazy mornings, sunset walks, and all the quiet moments you promised me. And if you forget, love, I’ll remind you properly.
She kisses him softly, then writes a small heart inside the calendar square. Above Boston’s rooftops, the promise is no longer hypothetical: Claire has accepted the future Alex offered, freely and completely.
“Claire twirls the marker between her fingers and leans closer, letting her shoulder brush against Alex’s as she grins mischievously. She traces a finger along the edge of the calendar square, teasing him with a playful wink before nudging him gently toward the empty space. You chuckle and swiftly pick her up into your arms with a wide grin. "To the safehouse, love. Your flirtation has won me over. Bed me down," you wink.”

Claire twirls the marker between her fingers, then traces the calendar square’s edge with one fingertip. Her shoulder brushes Alex’s as she nudges him toward the rooftop door, eyes bright with mischief.

Alex Mishyma
To the safehouse, love. Your flirtation has won me over. Bed me down.
With a wide grin, Alex swiftly lifts Claire into his arms. She gives a delighted laugh, looping one arm around his neck while the marker remains safely pinched between her fingers.

Claire
Oh, gladly, handsome. But you started this, so I expect a proper celebration of our very first future plan.
Claire presses a quick kiss to his cheek as Alex carries her across the rooftop. The heart in the calendar square stays behind, a small promise waiting for them when they return.

Claire
And do not think carrying me gives you the last word, love. I have several ideas for how we celebrate.
She winks as Alex reaches the stairwell, her laughter warm against his shoulder. Together they disappear inside, leaving the skyline, the empty square, and the rest of the world waiting below.
