Dev starts a technical sweep from the café’s main room, keeping the alarm active and the doors controlled. Alex remains inside with Claire, while Darius Venn lies unconscious under observation and the other witnesses stay behind the secured counter.
Dev
I’m not waiting for outside instructions, mate. We map this place ourselves first, then hand over a clean record.
Relay devices blink across the tables as Dev checks cameras, wireless signals, and witness sightlines. Every route reports normally except a narrow stretch beside the staff entrance.
Dev

Alex Mishyma
The gap resembles a meeting route, but its design controls what can later be proved.
Claire
Then we preserve it exactly as found. No one enters that stretch until the officers and Nina know it exists.
Dev marks the blind stretch on the café layout without crossing into it. Claire stays beside Alex, while the unconscious attacker remains isolated and the heightened security settles into a deliberate, documented watch.
