Beyond the narrow opening, Kaelith braces himself against the circular chamber wall. Pale veins spread beneath his boots, converging on the sword wedged in the passage.

A second pulse gathers. The stone around the sword swells, tightening its hold, while three faint cracks branch from the anchor toward the chamber floor.
The cracks reveal the opening: the living stone is using the quiet sword as a bridge to keep Kaelith trapped. Disrupt the rhythm at the anchor before the walls seal, or the chamber will close with them inside.

The living stone slackens around the sword. Its grip releases the bridge, and the pressure dragging Kaelith toward the chamber wall stops.
