The sealed arch behind Crystalious remains dark while the chamber’s ward-lines tremble beneath his feet. Faint pressure travels through the stone from every side of the lodge.
Warden Maelis and Brynja descend the stair into the hidden chamber. Maelis carries a drawn sword, while Brynja presses one hand to the glowing floor.
Warden Maelis
Something outside is probing the concealment. It has not breached the ward, but each attempt makes the pressure stronger.
Healer Brynja
The strain is moving through the lower channels. If it finds the lodge’s main line, every ward-light may flare at once.
Luna kneels beside the branching blue lines, her silver scales reflecting their restless glow. Borealis traces the pattern without touching it, watching the pressure gather.
Borealis
The hunters are testing for a response. We can redirect the force into the old mountain channels, but the path must be chosen carefully.
Luna
Cryos is guarding the ridge, and everyone else remains sheltered above. Crystalious, the ward is waiting on your mark before we move the pressure.
✓ Quest Accepted
Redirect the ward pressure
“im tired of trying to redirect the hunters, i say we take the fight to them. I say as my eyes flash red and rime breakers glow turns red”
SUCCESS (Great Persuasion, rolled -1)
crystalious
I am tired of redirecting the hunters. We take the fight to them.
Crystalious’s eyes flash red. Rimebreaker ignites in the same color, and the ward-lines surge beneath his feet, answering his defiance with a violent pulse.
Warden Maelis
Then we go together. I will not let you face their cordon alone.
Crystalious drives the glowing blade into the central channel. The pressure reverses, bursting outward through the mountain’s old paths and opening a direct route beneath the hunters’ ridge.
Borealis
The path is open. Their scouts are exposed, and the ward now carries us straight beneath their command line.
The release costs Crystalious dearly. Heat tears through his bandaged palm, fresh blood darkens the cloth, and the red fire drinks strength from his arm while the passage stabilizes.
Luna
Your hand is bleeding, but the hunters have lost their shelter. We strike with you, Crystalious, and bring everyone home.

Confront the hunters
“cryos ill need your help with this next part, i lay my palm on his forehead and he grows to his full adult size”
SUCCESS (Legendary Willpower, rolled +0)
crystalious
Cryos, I’ll need your help with this next part.
Crystalious steps to the towering wyvern and lays his bandaged palm against Cryos’s forehead. The red fire in Rimebreaker answers with a deep blue-white glow.
Cryos
Rrha... Cryos trusts you. Let the old strength return.
The beacon within Cryos’s snowflake-patterned scales expands through his body. His frame rises and lengthens, wings unfolding until they fill the hidden chamber’s breadth.
Stone groans beneath the wyvern’s weight, but the ward-lines bend around him without breaking. Cryos reaches his full adult size, immense and radiant, with enough strength to carry Crystalious safely.
Luna
The ward accepts him. Cryos is ready, and the bond between you is stronger than before.
Cryos
Rrha... no chain can hold us now. Cryos stands with Crystalious, for the family and the mountain.
“i climb on top of cryos' back and we head to confront the hunter”
SUCCESS (Legendary Agility, rolled -2)
Crystalious climbs onto Cryos’s broad back, securing himself behind the wyvern’s rising shoulders. Cryos launches through the opened ward passage, his wings striking sparks from the stone.
Cryos
Rrha... hold fast. Cryos carries you to the hunters.
The ascent jars Crystalious’s injured hand against Rimebreaker’s hilt. His bandage tears, and fresh blood runs across the blue flame tattoo, but Cryos clears the chamber and surges into the mountain night.
Luna
The ward will guide you beneath their command line. Bring Cryos home, and bring yourself home with him.
Cryos follows the glowing channel beneath the ridge, then bursts through a snow-covered shelf above the hunters’ cordon. Watchfires flare below as the great wyvern’s beacon exposes their hidden positions.
A broad-shouldered elderly man in a dark fur-lined coat steps from the nearest fire, lifting a hooked sword toward them. His weathered face turns sharply toward Rimebreaker.
Hunter
The white warden and his beast. You have brought the mountain’s fire straight to us.
