Grid Iron roars like a caged storm. Leon Wolfe drops into the pit entrance, and the arena shakes with boots, howls, and coin. The sand is already dark with old fights.
Along the rim, Fanrir's men lean over the railing, blocking the easy exits. Their eyes track Leon like he belongs in the cage, not outside it.
At the center platform, a chained werewolf gladiator is dragged into the light, shoulders flexing against the restraints, snarling at the crowd instead of lowering his head.

The Gladiator
If they want a show, they can come down here and earn it.
The stands answer with a fresh wave of noise. Somewhere above the pit, wagers clap from hand to hand, and the guards tighten their circle.

The Guard
Leon Wolfe, stay where you are. Fanrir wants you watching, not wandering.

Leon Wolfe
The exits are covered.
The gladiator yanks hard against the chain, and one of the guards steps in too close, bracing for trouble. Every eye in the arena lands on Leon Wolfe at once.

The Gladiator
You there. Are you here to bet, or are you here to decide who gets hurt first?

“No phone for back up and im surrounded on all sides. Ill play along for now and see if i can get away. I was dragged here dude i dont know anything.”
SUCCESS (Good Conversation, rolled +1)

Leon Wolfe
I was dragged in here, man. I do not know anything. I will play along for now.

The Guard
...Huh. He is not bluffing.

The Gladiator
Then stop crowding him and ask better questions.
The guard hesitates, club lowering a fraction. A few heads in the rim seats tilt, the arena's roar thinning into watchful noise.
Leon is no longer just trapped in the entrance. The attention shifts, and the men holding the pit start looking like they have to answer for him.

The Guard
Fine. Keep talking, Leon Wolfe. Tell us who brought you, and why Fanrir wanted you seen.
The gladiator hooks his chain higher and watches Leon with narrowed eyes, waiting to see whether he folds or keeps the room talking.

“I dont even know him i was minding my business shopping and some guys jumped me. And now i smell alot of wolves here. are all of you werewolves?!”
SUCCESS (Good Conversation, rolled -1)

Leon Wolfe
I was just shopping when some guys jumped me. I do not even know him.

Leon Wolfe
And I smell a lot of wolves here. Are all of you werewolves?
The words land cleanly, and the arena answers with a low murmur instead of a roar. Leon is still in the pit, but the story of how he got there is no longer theirs to twist.

The Guard
...Yeah. Most of us are. That make you nervous?

The Gladiator
Nervous, maybe. Smart, definitely. He is not one of Fanrir's pets.
The guard shifts his grip and glances aside, while the gladiator's chain rattles once as he leans forward, measuring Leon like a man worth listening to.

The Guard
If you were dragged in blind, say it plain. Who hit you first?
“i talk to myself" im losing control and now not good". Look you guys how should i know who hit me when i was randomly picked up? Shouldnt the boss or someone be here with more information then me?”
SUCCESS (Good Conversation, rolled -1)

Leon Wolfe
How am I supposed to know who hit me when I was grabbed at random? If there is a boss here, he should be the one with answers.
The answer lands hard, and the interrogation tilts back on itself. A few heads in the pit turn toward the rail, waiting for someone above the arena to explain the mess.

The Guard
He is not dodging, he is asking for procedure. That is different.

The Gladiator
There you go. If they pulled you in blind, they owe you a name, not a bruise.
The guard exhales through his nose and lowers his club another notch. Leon's words cost him a strip of composure, but they also make the room look upward, as if somebody higher up has to answer now.

The Guard
Fine. Stand there and do not start anything. I am getting someone who can talk.
“SO gladiator got a name if not ill just call you jo. Jo why dont you just leave? not like anyone here could stop you?”
SUCCESS (Good Conversation, rolled +1)

The guard is halfway gone when Leon tilts his head toward the chained fighter. The name sticks, casual and sharp in the silence.

Leon Wolfe
So I can call you Jo. Why don’t you just leave? Not like anyone here could stop you.

The Gladiator
Jo works. And because walking out is never the hard part. Keeping what you are after you leave is.
A few watching faces shift, caught by the answer more than the insult. The guard pauses near the rail, listening despite himself.

The Gladiator
They like their fighters penned up and predictable. Me leaving would mean somebody asks why I stayed this long.

The Guard
He is not wrong. The rules here do not love surprises.

The Gladiator
Neither do I. But you asked a real question, Leon Wolfe, so here is one back. If I am not trying to run, what do you think I am waiting for?
“Something tells me the boss here might be more then i exspected”
FAILURE (Good Observation, rolled -2)

Leon studies the boss level instead of the chain. The answer refuses to be a brute and lands softer, like a blade hidden in a sleeve.
The arena stays quiet, but the silence changes. Men along the rails stop pretending this is only a match, because the one above the pit is listening too.

The Gladiator
You are looking at the wrong thing. Fanrir does not keep this place by muscle alone.

The Guard
Watch your mouth. He hears every weak spot in a room like this.
That warning lands wrong. Not fear, exactly. It sounds like someone naming a leash they have all learned to see.

The Gladiator
If you want out, Leon Wolfe, stop staring at the bars. Look up at who profits when they stay closed.
For one beat, the upper level answers with a dark shape at the rail, still and watchful, as if the room itself has finally admitted its owner.
“My wolf is extremely agitated staring up at the figure. My eyes started glowing brighter. A rival that makes my blood rage why?!”
FAILURE (Fair Willpower, rolled -2)

Leon feels the stare hit like heat under the skin. His wolf bristles hard, and the glow in his eyes brightens before he can fully steady it.

Leon Wolfe
My pulse is too loud.
He does not lunge, but the effort shows. His shoulders lock, jaw tight, while the arena seems to notice the strain all at once.

The Gladiator
There it is. That look is not from fear.

The Guard
Easy. Keep your hands where I can see them.
The warning lands differently now. The guard sounds less like a jailer and more like someone trying to hold a room together with his voice.

The Gladiator
No, let him breathe. If Fanrir wants a pet show, he can watch the cage shake.
Leon’s glare lifts to the upper rail again, and for a moment the pit stops treating him like cargo. It waits to see whether he answers the pressure, or lets it speak for him.
“I yell to the figure up Fanrir " HEY YOU FANRIR COME OUT HERE WHY DID YOU KIDNAP ME? AND WHY ARE YOU TARGETING ME?!"”
FAILURE (Fair Willpower, rolled +1)

Leon throws the words upward, loud enough to crack the hush, but the balcony swallows the first edge of them. The name lands short, bouncing off the rail and back into the pit.
A few heads turn upstairs. Fanrir does not answer, but the dark figure above shifts, one hand settling on the railing as if he has heard every word anyway.

Leon Wolfe
Hey, Fanrir. Come out here. Why did you kidnap me? Why are you targeting me?

The Guard
So that is what this is about. Not a brawl. A claim.

The Gladiator
There. He heard you.
The arena stays silent, but the silence changes shape. It is no longer waiting for a fight, it is waiting for a reply.
From the upper level, a metal latch clicks once, and a narrow side door beside the balcony stands unlatched, just enough to suggest a private route instead of a public answer.
“iF THIS IS ANOTHER TRAP ILL BITE YOUR ARMS OFF FANRIR. my amber eyes bright eye hue still staring. Wolf claws having slowly come out from your hands. even the fur on your body started without you noticing.”
SUCCESS (Fair Willpower, rolled +3)

Leon Wolfe
If this is another trap, I bite your arms off, Fanrir.
Leon’s claws lengthen with a slow scrape of bone, and the fur on his arms pushes through before he fully notices it. The pit below the balcony feels smaller at once.
His amber eyes burn brighter, fixed upward. Around him, the guard’s posture tightens, while the gladiator’s grin fades into alert interest.

The Guard
He is not bluffing now.

The Gladiator
There it is. A wolf worth watching.
Above, the shadow at the railing shifts back a fraction, no longer just watching Leon, but measuring him.
