The passage narrows into service stone and rusted iron. Ahead, a grated maintenance throat shivers with fresh impacts from hunters behind, while the floor under Ghost and Malakor gives a slow, hungry tremor.

Malakor
They are still on us. The house is waking wider.
The walls answer with a low pulse, and fine dust sifts from the mortar like ash from a grave. The keys in Malakor's hand twitch hard toward two routes, one deeper into the asylum, one toward a cracked support seam that could bring the upper floors down.

Malakor
If we run, it follows. If we break it, we may bury ourselves with it.
A sound moves inside the masonry, not from above or below, but within, a vast scrape like something turning in sleep. Ghost's smoke edges thin toward the dark seam, and the grating behind them buckles under another удар of force.

Malakor
Ghost... choose. Collapse the house, or bind yourself to it and seal what is in the walls.
Ghost leaves Beneath the altar and chapel floor behind and arrives at Surface.
“I collapse the structure above us to kill the hunters and whatever else lies in these tunnels, grabbing Malakor and escaping to the surface as i do so”
SUCCESS (Legendary Agility, rolled +2)

Surface air hits cold and wet, full of soot and crushed weeds. Behind Ghost, the asylum gives one deep shudder, then a long crack races through the buried stone like a snapped bone.
The service hatch vomits dust and broken grit. Far below, metal screams once, then the sound is cut off by a thud that rolls up through the ground.

Malakor
You felt that. The house just swallowed its own throat.
Malakor stumbles beside Ghost in a spill of gray smoke and stone dust, keys jerking in their hand until one bends against another with a sharp little click.

Malakor
It is quieter now. Too quiet.
Underfoot, the ground settles in a series of mournful pulses, as if the building is still counting its wounds. Somewhere within the dark mass of the asylum, the remaining motion goes muffled and distant.

Malakor
We are out. For the moment.

Dust drifted over the ruins as the last groan of the asylum died away.

Malakor
It's over. Gods, it's really over.

Ghost
We made it. Barely.

Malakor
You carried us through. I'll remember that.
Malakor closed a trembling hand around the key ring, then let it hang at his side.
The asylum was gone, swallowed into its own ruin, and the hunters had lost their trail in the dust. Ghost and Malakor stood in the open at last, alive with the weight of what survival had cost them. They went forward carrying the silence with them, and the silence did not follow.
