The hidden bunker air is cool and stale, all concrete walls and humming fluorescent light. Elias leads the way through narrow aisles of canned food, bottled water, batteries, and stacked paper goods.
He stops at the back shelves, shoulders tense, and drags a crate aside. Behind it sits a reinforced door set flush into the foundation, half-hidden by dust and shadows.
Elias
I know what is behind it. I just need you to be the one to open it.
Marla peers between the shelves, phone lowered for once, her brows knitting as she studies the steel frame. Elizabeth stands a step behind Thadeus, quiet and watchful.
Thadeus Jovanović
The door is newer than the rest of the bunker.
Elizabeth Bathory
If Elias is asking you, Thadeus, it matters.
Elias reaches to the latch, then pulls his hand back, letting the silence settle around the door. He waits, eyes fixed on Thadeus, as if whatever is past it will speak best to him first.

Director's note
The room is decorated with the various subweapons found in Castlevania - knife, axe, cross, holy water and stopwatch
“Thadeus grabs the metal handle of the door, and slides the door open. Elias watches Thadeus with curiosity as he opens the door. The room within leaves Thadeus breathless. At the center of the room is a wooden desk, finely cut and fresh veneer. On the desk, there's a very old globe, several books, and a picture frame with two brothers posing humourously. It's Elias and his brother, Trevor. Thadeus thinks, "What a simpler time that must've been for him."”
SUCCESS (Superb Strength, rolled -2)
Thadeus takes the handle and heaves. The reinforced door gives with a hard scrape, its seal breaking on a puff of cold, stale air.
The hidden room opens in full, and the neatness inside hits like a quiet shock, a wooden desk, fresh veneer catching the light, sits centered in the chamber.
A very old globe waits on the desk beside several books, with a picture frame angled toward the door.
Thadeus Jovanović
What a simpler time that must have been for him.
Elias leans in from the aisle, curiosity replacing his hesitation as he stares at the frame and the desk beyond it.
The brothers in the photo are Elias and Trevor, caught mid-grin like the room still remembers them before whatever changed.
Around the doorway, the bunker feels narrower somehow, with the old damage in the house and the glowing emblem on the Grimoire suddenly feeling farther away, and more connected.
