The ink on Quorpeck's blade flares again, and the prophecy stone in his hand answers with ancient, blinding light. The chamber stops feeling dead, and starts feeling watched.

Hidden spectral text blooms in the air around the stone, line by line, as if the chamber itself is being written open. The runes only hold steady while the Black Ledger clings to the blade.

The flooded stonework groans. Seals shift in the walls, and the sluice chamber subtly re-aligns, every groove and arch turning toward the glowing relic in Quorpeck's grip.

The light steadies, harsh and deliberate, as if the chamber has finally recognized the right hand to answer.

Quorpeck lifts the stone and blade together, and the chamber answers at once. The suspended script tightens into a ring of light around the weapon, then pours inward, line by line, as if obeying a command older than the flood.

The gold glow deepens. Hidden seams open in the air above the water, and a shape begins to form from the writing, vast and patient, stitched from names, seals, and devoured crests.

The Clerk recoils in the shallows, staring as the revealed pattern drags a lineage of black ink behind it. The Helm-Bearer goes very still, fixed on the vision.

The chamber's glow steadies into a clear image at last, a sealed archive beneath the floods, marked with the same black crest. Above it, the title burns into the air, cold and exact.
