Olvin leaves the food court for the adjoining grocery store, still holding the warm cinnamon knot and eating as he passes displays of fruit, bread, and prepared meals. Jyn remains behind at her security station.
Near the widest aisle, Bianka, an eighteen-foot young adult cyclops woman with a heavy build, brown skin, and one large brown eye, carefully compares cereal boxes beside an oversized cart. Her bright casual clothes and gentle posture make her seem approachable despite her immense height.
The cart occupies much of the aisle, leaving Olvin’s route temporarily cramped. Bianka notices him, glances at the narrow space, and slowly shifts her cart toward the shelves, keeping her broad feet planted well away from him.

Bianka
Oh, sorry. I did not mean to block you. I can move this over, just give me a second.
She turns the cart with exaggerated care, lifting one hand in a small, visible warning before moving the wheels. A stack of sale signs rattles softly, but nothing falls, and the aisle begins to open.

Olvin Arroth
The aisle is wider now.

Bianka
There we go. Is that enough room, or should I move farther? I do not want to crowd you.
“Olvin finishes the cinnamon knot, warily squints at Bianka, thanks her, then proceeds to start adding items to his shopping cart.”

Olvin finishes the cinnamon knot, brushing the last trace of icing from his fingers. He gives Bianka a wary squint before stepping through the newly opened space.

Olvin Arroth
Thank you.

Bianka
You are welcome! Enjoy the rest of your shopping.
Bianka keeps one hand on the cart while Olvin passes, her single large eye following him only long enough to confirm the aisle remains clear.
Olvin reaches for a shopping cart and begins adding items, selecting fruit, bread, and a prepared meal from the nearby displays. The cart rolls smoothly beside him.

Bianka
That cereal is pretty good, too, if you like something sweet. The honey clusters are my favorite.
The grocery store settles back into its ordinary rhythm: cart wheels whisper, refrigeration units hum, and Bianka resumes comparing cereal boxes without obstructing the aisle.

“Olvin gets the last of his groceries, buys 'em, and leaves the store.”
SUCCESS (Good Reasoning, rolled +0)

Olvin adds the last loaf of bread and a chilled prepared meal to his cart, then guides it toward the checkout lanes. The rune stones at his belt click softly with each step.
A young woman cashier in a green store vest waits beneath the register lights, her brown braid tucked over one shoulder and a small silver nose ring catching the glow.

The Cashier
I can ring these up for you. The reusable bags are on the lower shelf if you need one.
The cashier, slim with warm brown skin and a round, friendly face, scans the fruit, bread, and prepared meal while Olvin pays. One thin paper bag splits at the handle, forcing him to spend a little extra on a sturdier replacement.

The Cashier
Sorry about that. The reinforced bag should hold everything. Your receipt is in the bag, and you are all set.
Olvin collects the groceries and pushes the cart through the automatic doors into Neo Arca’s bright afternoon. The damaged bag is left behind, but every item is secure.
Outside the store, mall traffic flows around him. The grocery trip is finished, and he leaves the food court and checkout bustle behind with his purchases in hand.
