The silver thread above the hollow fades, leaving the willow leaves trembling in its wake. The dark leaf rests beside the basin, still wet with impossible rain.
Azera
The boundary is closed. That is enough for tonight.
Azera remains beside the basin, her bronze silhouette steady in the amber gloom. She does not touch Wolfie or disturb the star-silk cradle.
The Forest Below
The one above may wait. The vault will not open for waiting alone.
Far overhead, wood creaks once beneath the roots. No second knock follows. The living circle remains sealed, holding the unseen arrival beyond the chamber’s threshold.
Azera
You may rest, Wolfie. If the outsider wants entry, patience can be their first offering.
The amber light settles lower. Wolfie keeps his place in the cradle, while Azera and the Forest Below remain with him, listening to the quiet beyond the roots.
