Scene1
The Pirate Council's UltimatumSecret sky-port docking bay
The Pirate Council's Ultimatum

The Silver Winged Revenge settles into the berth with a hull-deep groan, steam and ion haze bleeding across the secret sky-port. Dock lights paint the bay in sick blues and bruise reds, and twelve Pirate Lords wait in a ragged half-circle, hands near holsters, faces locked down.

Tressa comes down the ramp, huge wings dragging like silver banners behind her. Every head turns. Nobody speaks first.

The Dockmaster

The Dockmaster

You picked a bad hour, Lord Tressa. Noble House blockade's tightening at the outer lanes. If they spot your hull, this port burns.

The Dockmaster

The Dockmaster

She wants a decision, fast, before the others panic.

A tall pirate in mirror-black lenses steps forward from the line, palm resting on a chrome sidearm. The rest of the council watches him, then watches Tressa, measuring blood, profit, and betrayal in the same breath.

The Dockmaster

The Dockmaster

Say the word. We scatter, we fight, or we sell one of our own to buy time.

Beyond the bay, a warning klaxon starts to rise, thin at first, then louder, as if the whole hidden port is holding its breath.

Unify the Pirate Lords

So why exactly are we all here again? In one place with all of our ships

SUCCESS (Fair Social, rolled -1)

The Pirate Council's Ultimatum

The council trade glances instead of answers. The dockmaster turns her palm up toward the bay, like the truth is something she has to physically hold in place.

The Dockmaster

The Dockmaster

Because if we split up, the blockade catches us in pieces. Together, we can mask departures, spoof registries, and move our hulls before they pin the lanes.

Pirate Lord 3

Pirate Lord 3

And because someone sold our berth codes. They knew the hour. They knew the ship count. This meeting was never meant to stay secret.

A few lords go still. Pirate Lord 7 shifts first, one hand lifting from their coat as if to point at the nearest throat.

Pirate Lord 7

Pirate Lord 7

Or the leak sits in this room. That is what it looks like when a trap closes around us.

Pirate Lord 4

Pirate Lord 4

Look at the bay readouts, not your paranoia. The blockade is already on approach vectors. This is not theory.

The council line bends toward the same glowing panel over the dockmaster's wrist, where red proximity marks crowd the port perimeter. The argument does not end, but the shape of it changes.

The Dockmaster

The Dockmaster

Tressa, they want to know whether we stand as one fleet, or die as twelve separate ghosts.

Well we all have a better chance if we run now certainly a few of us will get caught how many ships do they have? I personally have around 150 ships in my fleet my cruiser but most of them are smaller ships fast though ... How many ships do the rest of you have

SUCCESS (Good Streetwise, rolled -1)

The Pirate Council's Ultimatum
Tressa

Tressa

We have a better chance if we move now. I need numbers, how many ships do they have, and how many do you have?

The Dockmaster

The Dockmaster

The blockade is heavier than we hoped, maybe twelve hulls outside the lane, plus cutters waiting to pounce on anything that blinks wrong. My berth crews can float six runners and one patched cargo skiff if I strip every nonessential system.

Pirate Lord 3

Pirate Lord 3

I have four fast skimmers and a signal boat. Not enough to fight, enough to vanish if someone keeps the lanes confused.

Pirate Lord 7

Pirate Lord 7

Three gunboats. All armed, all ugly, all loyal to profit if that counts as loyalty.

Pirate Lord 4

Pirate Lord 4

Two courier clippers and a privateer barge. If we coordinate, those become a screen, not a funeral procession.

Pirate Lord 9

Pirate Lord 9

One light cutter. But I will fly it where I am told, if the rest of you stop talking like we are already dead.

The Dockmaster

The Dockmaster

Then hear me. Tressa is not asking for surrender. She is asking whether we survive together or get picked apart one by one.

Pirate Lord 12

Pirate Lord 12

...Fine. Put my scouts in the first wave. If we run, we run as a fleet.

I will form that's the bulk of the heavy fire power along with the gun boats take the night ships and skifs that won't be able to fight for long it's got all them of weapons and crew fill them with explosives and send them out aspire ships to break their lines take your scouts use them as escorts to guide the fire ships into their weakest points the rest of your smaller and faster ships at as escorts or harassing ships for mine and the gunboats

FAILURE (Good Piloting, rolled -1)

Tressa cuts through the huddle with a battle plan, fire ships, scouts, escorts, a strike at the weakest point. The words land hard, and the council starts to move with them.

Pirate Lord 4

Pirate Lord 4

If we burn our own hulls, we had better make the blockade choke on it.

Pirate Lord 7

Pirate Lord 7

My gunboats can take the front edge. I want the first kill route marked, not guessed.

The Dockmaster

The Dockmaster

I can rig the skiffs with volatile fuel and remote jacks. Give me ten minutes, and they become knives.

Pirate Lord 12

Pirate Lord 12

My scouts will run escort. We stop arguing lanes and start feeding them targets.

The circle tightens. For one breath, it looks like unity.

Pirate Lord 3

Pirate Lord 3

Too neat. Too fast. If this holds, it holds because she made it hold.

Then Pirate Lord 2 checks the display again, and the color drains from his face. The blockade markers are no longer outside the port. They are on top of the lane mouth.
