RagNook slams his cleaver into the porous salt wall, his muscles bulging as he arrests his momentum. Below, the Blind Horror surges upward, its obsidian claws gouging deep furrows into the cavern surface. The beast senses the vibration of his frantic digging, its maw opening to reveal rows of needle-thin, crystalline teeth.

Just a bit deeper. The marrow of a wall-climber is notoriously sweet, but only if I can peel it before it peels me.
The horror lunges, its head snapping toward the sound of his ragged breathing. RagNook pivots, shifting his massive frame just as the beast’s serrated limb shatters the salt inches from his hip. Dust chokes the air, turning the cavern into a swirling kaleidoscope of white grit and subterranean shadow.

“using my dragonbone cleaver i carve into the beasts flesh finding the best cuts of meat and quickest death to the creature”
SUCCESS (Good Anatomy, rolled +1)
RagNook drops his guard, his massive arm blurring as he drives the dragonbone cleaver deep into the Blind Horror's primary artery. The blade bites through chitin and muscle with surgical precision, severing the nerve cluster controlling the beast's lunging reflex. A fountain of viscous, indigo blood sprays against the salt walls as the creature shudders, its violent thrashing collapsing into a rhythmic, desperate pulse.

Anatomy is a universal language. Find the source of the heartbeat, cut the tension, and the rest is just preparation.
The Horror collapses, its limbs buckling under the sudden loss of motor control. It lets out a high-pitched, metallic keening that echoes through the cavern, vibrating against RagNook's teeth before it goes silent. The cavern settles, leaving only the sound of hot blood dripping onto the salt floor.
