Luca keeps the hooded man pinned one-handed against the shelving, while his eyes cut toward the loading bay. The deletion script is dead on Tommy’s screen. The other shadow is not.

Donatello Capozzi
Find him. Now.

Thomas
I have the warehouse map, but the camera feed is trash. If he hits the bay door, I lose him.

Nichole "Nikki" Capozzi
He’s heading for the service exit, left side. I saw the shape and a badge flash.
Rain stutters over the broken monitor as blue light washes the crates. The hooded man strains under Luca’s grip, but the fleeing figure stays just out of sight, somewhere between the stacked boxes and the groaning metal door.

Lucifer "Luca" Capozzi
The badge flash matters.
Don points hard toward the loading bay, and Vinny starts moving to cut off the exit while Luca keeps the trapped broker in place. The next step is clear, identify the runner before he slips out into the storm.
✓ Quest Accepted
Identify the fleeing shadow
“I shove the broker into the shelving and teleport toward the service exit.”
SUCCESS (Good Agility, rolled +1)

Luca drives the broker hard into the shelving. Boxes jump loose and skid across the wet floor as the man folds back under the impact.
In the same motion, Luca vanishes from the office and snaps into the service corridor by the exit, the rain noise suddenly louder through the metal wall.
Ahead, a second figure jerks into view at the far end of the hall, half turned, caught between the bay door and the industrial district beyond.

Donatello Capozzi
That’s him. Don’t let him clear the door.

Thomas
The feed is ghosting, but I have his route. Left side corridor, then the service stairs.

Nichole "Nikki" Capozzi
Badge is real. I’m not getting a face yet.
The runner breaks into a sprint, and the exit sign throws red light across his shoulder as he disappears deeper toward the stairs.

“I grab the fleeing shadow”
SUCCESS (Good Athletics, rolled +0)

Luca lunges at the runner and catches him by the jacket at the stairs, yanking him off balance before he can reach the landing.
The man slams into the wall and twists, but Luca’s grip holds, one forearm locking across his chest.

Nichole "Nikki" Capozzi
Got him. But he dropped something.
A phone skitters across the wet concrete and stops under the red exit light, its screen still lit with a blurred map and a partial contact name.

Thomas
That’s the route, and the ping just died.

Donatello Capozzi
Pin him. I want his face.
The runner bucks in Luca’s hold, breathing hard, while rain hisses somewhere beyond the service door and the corridor tightens into a trap.
“I pin him and rip off his mask”
FAILURE (Good Strength, rolled -2)

Luca drives harder into the runner, but the man twists at the last second and the jacket tears in Luca’s hand instead of coming free. The runner’s head jerks aside, mask half-lifted, not removed.
Under the red light, Luca catches a flash of the runner’s face, one eye, pale and wide, and a fresh smear of warehouse dust across the cheek. The glimpse is enough to make the man turn his shoulder away and clamp a hand over the mask.
The runner shoves off the wall just enough to spoil a clean hold, but he does not break free. His footing slips on the wet concrete, and the dropped phone slides closer to Luca’s boots.
Nikki shifts lower toward the floor, tracking the lit screen. Her voice stays tight. "I can see the contact name now, but only part of it."

Donatello Capozzi
That face is enough to keep him from running clean, if Luca can hold him one beat longer.
Thomas’s voice crackles from the threshold, clipped and urgent. "The map points to the industrial block past the loading yards. If he gets past the exit, we lose him in traffic."
The runner’s mask stays on, but the torn jacket hangs open now, exposing a work badge clipped inside. The photo on the phone and the badge give Luca a new angle, and the man’s shoulder angles toward the stairs, ready to bolt if the hold slips again.
“I rip the mask off”
FAILURE (Good Strength, rolled -3)

Luca snatches at the mask again, but the runner jerks sideways and the slick fabric slips under his grip. The move yanks the man out of perfect alignment with the shelving, and the hold turns ugly instead of clean.
The runner’s hand flies up to his face, and for a second Luca gets a bare strip of skin, a frightened eye, and the badge snapping against his chest as he twists away.
Nikki dips lower, one hand hovering over the phone while her eyes flick between the screen and the runner’s shoulders. The partially visible contact name wavers in the glow.

Nichole "Nikki" Capozzi
That’s him or someone close to him. I can’t get the whole name.
The runner plants his foot, but the wet concrete steals the push. He stumbles instead of breaking free, and the service exit behind him is now only a step away.
The phone skids under Luca’s reach, the screen dimming as the corridor lights flicker over the torn jacket and exposed badge. The path ahead is narrowing fast, and the runner throws his weight toward the door.
“I wrench the mask free”
SUCCESS (Good Strength, rolled +1)

Luca wrenches hard, and the mask tears free in one clean pull. The runner’s face flashes into view, exposed to the flicker of the corridor lights.
The man goes rigid for a split second, then snaps his chin down and turns his body toward the exit, badge now swinging clear against his chest.

Nichole "Nikki" Capozzi
I’ve got the face. I’m checking the name now.
Nikki rises from her crouch with the phone in hand, eyes locked on the screen as the dim display catches the badge and the torn jacket together.
The service door rattles under the runner’s shoulder, and the corridor beyond it looks darker than the one behind him.

Nichole "Nikki" Capozzi
This is a work badge, not a disguise piece. Someone here knows him.
The runner lunges for the opening, but the door only cracks far enough to show wet industrial pavement outside, leaving Luca one beat from either a name or an escape.

Torn mask
“I read the name off the badge”
SUCCESS (Good Perception, rolled -2)

Luca angles the badge toward the flickering light, and the letters finally catch cleanly enough to read. The runner’s name is Paolo Rizzi.
The badge also shows a warehouse access stamp from the loading office, the kind of mark that means he belongs inside, not on the street.

Nichole "Nikki" Capozzi
Paolo Rizzi, I have him. He is on payroll, not some random runner.
Nikki’s phone gives a sharp burst of static as she reads, and the weak screen light flares against the runner’s chest, drawing his attention.

Paolo Rizzi
Don’t say it like that. You do not know who sent me.
The exit door bucks wider under his shoulder, and cold rain spits into the corridor across Luca’s boots.
Paolo jerks hard against Luca’s grip, then twists his head toward the dark outside, as if deciding whether to gamble on the open pavement or the hand holding him.
