The Capozzi Family: Luca #1

The convoy rolls up to the Capozzi mansion, all stone walls, iron gates, and trimmed hedges under a hard night sky. Headlights wash over the courtyard as the family steps out, alert and silent.

Inside, the foyer glows warm against the tense faces gathered there. Donatello moves straight for the security monitors with Tommy at his shoulder, while Vinny and Vicky fan out near the doors.

Joey lingers by the staircase with a distracted, hungry stare. Toni hovers near the wall, trying to look useful. Mickey hangs close to Luca, relieved to be home but still jittery.

Tommy opens a laptop on the entry console and starts checking the network feeds. The only sound for a moment is keys tapping and the low hum of the mansion's air system.

Then Nikki appears from the hallway, folding in beside the others with arms crossed. Everyone is here now, packed into the mansion like a fortress waiting to breathe.

Luca checks the foyer monitors and the screen grid sharpens into the night outside, front drive clear, side paths empty, rear cameras steady.

He flips to the perimeter feed list, and each sensor returns a clean green line, no motion, no tamper flags, no blind spots.

Then one camera tile flickers for a breath on the far fence line, not an intrusion, just a glitch from the rain-slick wiring.

A low chime from the panel confirms the alarm loop stays armed, while the rain taps harder against the glass.

By the time Luca lowers the monitor glow, the family is watching him, waiting to know whether the threat is outside the walls or already inside them.
