Adventure of True Dave 9

True Dave reaches the eastern escape road with Yama and Marla close behind. His injured ankle buckles under him as a battered emergency speaker blares “Thriller,” its chorus pulling scattered zombies into a coordinated advance.

Six civilians crouch behind overturned vehicles, pressed low while the dead converge between abandoned cars. The emergency speaker crackles through another verse, and every rhythmic beat draws more undead toward the trapped survivors.

A fresh cluster of zombies spills around a delivery truck, closing the gap toward the vehicles. Marla raises her remote and triggers another sharp retreat sequence, but the music answers with its pulsing chorus.

Yama braces at the road’s edge, guarding the approach while Marla searches for the speaker’s position. The civilians remain pinned, and the song begins another cycle as the zombies tighten their advance.

True Dave fixes on the emergency speaker across the road. His Force sensitivity finds its frame through the noise, while the light saber at his side sharpens his focus without leaving his hand.

The effort pulls against his will like another endless survival chore, but Legendary resolve overcomes the resistance. The speaker tears free from the vehicle and hangs crushed in the air.

Metal folds inward with a hard crunch. The speaker collapses completely, its music cutting off as the suspended wreck drops beside the abandoned car.

Marla presses the remote. Sharp tones replace the vanished chorus, and the zombies break their coordinated advance, turning away between the vehicles.

The civilians rise from cover and hurry toward Yama while he holds the road. True Dave’s injured ankle throbs as he shifts his weight, but the route out is clear.
