Kahul steps into the inner chamber. Blue veins in the stone pulse under his feet, and the pedestal answers with a low hum that shakes dust from the ceiling.

Glowing glyphs race across the pedestal’s face, faster now. The old marks do not sit still, they assemble into lines, then a shape, then a map-like path pointing deeper under the cave.

Those signs are old, older than our clan walls... and they are waking for Kahul.

This chamber remembers the way. It is choosing whether to hide us, or expose us.

The rune-boulders behind the open door shift with a grinding sigh. A narrow crack appears in the far wall, where there was only stone a moment ago.

A cold draft spills out of the crack, carrying the scent of wet earth and buried dust. The hidden path is real, and it leads farther into the tribe’s secret history.

Kahul eases his hand onto the pedestal. The blue hum softens under his palm, as if the stone is listening rather than resisting.

The runes feel warm, and the map settles into my grasp.

The glyph-lines brighten, then fold inward, becoming clear in his mind, routes, turns, and a marked hollow deeper below.

It is opening for you. I can read that much now.

Good. Let the cave speak, and do not force it.

A faint tremor passes through the chamber. Dust lifts from the pedestal edge, and the hidden crack in the far wall widens with a dry, careful grind.

Beyond it, a darker passage breathes cold air into the room, waiting on Kahul’s next move.
