The service junction steadies at last, airflow humming through the shaft like a held breath. Ahead, the route splits, one line deeper into the dark, the other toward an uplink node and the corporate spine beyond it.

Arthur Blues
If Meridian still has a live branch, this is the last clean point to cut or trace it.
Arthur checks his tablet, its screen washed blue against the metal walls. He keeps close, tense but ready, while the floor vibration fades into a low, controlled tremor.

Arthur Blues
Abby, the shaft gives us one exit and one chance. If you want to disappear, we go now. If you want Meridian to stop hunting you, we push to the node.
Far off, a warning pulse ripples through the conduit lights. The serum in Abby’s body answers with a deep, restless pressure, a signal she can feel in every limb.
Arthur lifts the tablet higher, waiting on her choice. The junction holds, barely, with the whole facility listening through the walls.
Abby Stone leaves Wider service junction behind and arrives at Outside the building.
“"I have an idea you're not going to like" i say as i grab Arthur and start charging forward in a straight path through walla and anything else in my way until we're outside the building”
SUCCESS (Legendary Agility, rolled +1)

Cold night air slams into Abby as the shaft spits them through a torn service hatch and out into open space. The facility’s outer wall looms behind her, black glass and metal flashing with internal alarms while the city lights spread below.

Abby Stone
I have an idea you're not going to like.
Abby clamps onto Arthur and drives forward in a single, brutal line, their momentum carrying them past a dangling conduit and through a half-open maintenance barrier without slowing. Metal shrieks behind them as the opening flexes shut.
They burst onto an exterior service platform. Wind claws at Abby’s shoulders, and the building’s warning lights strobe across wet steel and rain-dark rails.
Arthur staggers to his feet beside her, tablet hugged tight to his chest, eyes snapping from the shattered route behind them to the open drop ahead.

Arthur Blues
That counts as outside. Keep moving, before they seal this level too.
Behind them, the facility’s inner hatch slams shut with a heavy, final clang. Ahead, the platform’s edge gives Abby a clear view of the street and the waiting dark beyond the building.

Escape the facility
New Gift: Facility Evasion Tactics

Rain hissed across the exterior platform, and Meridian's alarms muffled behind steel.

Abby Stone
We made it out. For now, that has to be enough.

Arthur Blues
You chose the hard road, Abby. I think it'll hold.

Abby Stone
No more running blind. Not tonight.
Abby Stone stood in the cold night with the city spread beneath her, changed and still standing. Meridian Kline Biologics had lost its grip on her, and the fugitive life behind her had finally become a decision, not a sentence. The rain washed the platform clean, and for the first time in a long while, the future belonged to Abby Stone.
