Three days later, Kana arrives at her garage with her guitar and lyric notebook. The familiar space has been cleared for rehearsal, folding chairs gathered around cables, stands, and a small amplifier.

Hanashi, Kurimoto, and Narutomo are already setting up. Hanashi checks her flute and violin, Kurimoto tunes his violin, and Narutomo adjusts a microphone stand near the open garage door.

Kana, you made it. We have been waiting for the new verse.

Hanashi smiles gently and shifts a music stand aside. On the shared arrangement, the song moves smoothly until one conspicuous blank section, marked for Kana's melody and words.

Kurimoto Sugito

The structure is ready, but that section still needs your lead. We did not want to decide its shape without you.

Narutomo Aka

I tried a softer rhythm underneath it. It leaves room, but we can change it once we hear how your verse enters.

The three musicians turn toward Kana, instruments ready but quiet. The garage holds the expectant hush before a first full-band attempt, with the unfinished space waiting in the arrangement.

I was thinking a guitar lead, with flute accompaniment and soft drums.

Kana takes her place with the guitar. Hanashi raises her flute, while Narutomo settles behind a compact hand drum and Kurimoto lowers his violin for this arrangement.

Soft drums, then. I can keep the pulse light enough for the guitar to stay in front.

Kana begins the lead, picking a clear melody through the blank section. Hanashi answers with a gentle flute line, and Narutomo adds quiet, brushed beats beneath them.

Hanashi Nin

That gives your melody so much space. The flute can follow the breaths instead of filling every pause.

Kurimoto Sugito

It changes the center of the song, but in a good way. The arrangement feels like it is listening to Kana.

The passage resolves cleanly into the next section. Around the garage, the cables and folding chairs remain ordinary, but the once-empty space now belongs to the full band's shared sound.
