I cook when I have access to a decent kitchen, and I am apparently very particular about coffee. I like quiet places, old books, and walking without having somewhere I need to be.” He pauses, considering. “I also enjoy conversations where nobody is trying to extract state secrets from me.” A faint smile follows. “And, surprisingly, this.” He gestures lightly toward the table. “Lunch. Normal conversation. Familiar faces.” His expression softens. “So perhaps I should make a habit of it.””
