Beyond the dark intake corridor, Asha finds a locked paper archive beneath a relay grille. The folder’s worn seal matches the physical transfer record Nyx recovered earlier.

This folder predates the digital records. I remember the seal, but not the name written inside it.
The lock is mechanical, isolated from Bay C’s network. Through the grille, paper pages show custody stamps older than PALISADE’s conflicting identity chains.

There. That authorization gave me my first recorded identity. If I read the name, I may learn who they decided I was before they erased me.
Asha keeps her hand above the folder without touching it. The corridor hums around her, while the paper record waits beyond the locked grille, immune to remote revision.

Do not scan the pages through Bay C. Photograph the seal and transfer marks locally, then preserve the original exactly as found.
The archive offers Nyx a choice between opening the lock and preserving the scene first. Asha watches the folder, waiting to face the name on her own terms.
