The Hidden Oasis glows green against a graveyard of rust. Smoke curls from a dozen dead Junker rigs, and the air tastes sharp with ozone and hot metal.
Orange the Colossus stands at the edge of the wrecks, massive and still, his crafting tools hanging at his side. Around him, Red, Yellow, Green, Blue, and Purple hold a tight half-circle.
At the center, the lead Junker clutches a crate of scrap to his chest with shaking hands. His crew lingers behind him, too scared to step forward, too scared to run.

Purple the Colossus
Set it down. Slowly. Nobody has to bleed today.
Purple’s shadow spills long over the cracked ground. Red smiles like she welcomes the chance to make this worse, while Yellow keeps one hand lifted, ready to calm a panic or break a charge.

Kaelo
It’s just salvage. We took it from the dead roads. We are not here to fight you.
Green turns her head toward the oasis, then back to the crate, her posture tight with strain. Blue shifts one heavy foot, silent as a wall, watching the Junkers for a sudden move.

Kaelo
We can trade. Or we can leave it and walk. Tell us which one before my people panic.

Keep the Junkers from turning hostile
“I step firward and show the junkers my tools, hoping to communicate that i am of the sane trade as them and that we can do business”
SUCCESS (Legendary Willpower, rolled +2)

Orange the Colossus steps in with his tools raised where they can see them, not as a threat but as proof. The scrap crate shifts lower in the Lead Junker’s arms as he studies the metal, the grips, the worn edges, the real use in them.
Purple eases her hand down. Red’s smile thins into interest instead of hunger, and Yellow glances between the tools and the Junkers, reading the room for the first true breath it has taken.

Kaelo
Trade hands. Maker’s hands. Hells, I thought you were just another war gang with nicer paint.
He swallows, then lifts the crate a little higher, no longer hugging it like a shield. Behind him, a few Junkers edge forward, seeing the tools and seeing a chance to live through this.

Green the Colossus
The oasis can spare water if this stays calm. We all want the same thing, no one ruins that.

Kaelo
Then show us you mean it. One trade, one fair exchange, and nobody reaches for a weapon.
The circle loosens by a handspan. Dust settles around the crate, and the first Junker lowers his shoulders as if he has been carrying a storm.
“I point to my forge, wordlessly offering to turn the scrap into usable equipment for them”
SUCCESS (Superb Repair, rolled +3)

Orange points from the salvage to the place he can make it useful, and the meaning lands fast. The Lead Junker looks from the crate to Orange, then gives a short, disbelieving laugh that breaks into relief.

Kaelo
You’d turn this junk into something real for us? No strings, no raid?
He eases the crate down onto the sand instead of clutching it, and two Junkers behind him lower their scavenged pieces a little in answer.

Purple the Colossus
Orange makes the offer. We can meet it. Fair trade, fair hands.
Purple’s voice settles the remaining tension. Yellow lets out a slow breath, and Red’s attention sharpens into open curiosity at the idea of a Colossus forge at work.

Kaelo
Then show us where. If your forge is real, we stop treating this like a standoff and start treating it like business.
His crew relaxes with him, shoulders dropping in a visible wave. One of them even nudges a bundle of scrap toward the crate, an unspoken sign that the bargain is already changing hands.
