Dawn washes the Hidden Oasis in pale gold. The healing tree stands rooted and steady now, its amber pulse calm beneath the spread of fresh green sprouts. Around it, the Colossi and Junkers work in a quiet ring, checking the soil, the channels, the braces, the flow.

Green the Colossus
The root network is holding. The ground is answering back.
Green kneels with one hand to the earth, listening through her pain. Blue watches the outer rim, still and wary. Purple studies the tree like a judge reading a verdict written in light.

Purple the Colossus
It lives. Now we decide how it will live with us.

Yellow the Colossus
We keep the channels open, and we stop taking more than the oasis can give.

Red the Colossus
Then let the trade stay clean, and let the water stay ours to protect.
Silas tightens the last water gate, and the junkers fall in beside the Colossi without shouting, without fear. The tree’s roots sink deeper, not breaking the basin, but stitching it together.
All eyes turn to Orange the Colossus, tools in hand, beside the living trunk and the new life spreading around it. The next measure of the oasis, the rule that will keep it alive, waits for his choice.
“I set the oasis trade rules”
SUCCESS (Poor Reasoning, rolled +1)

Orange lays out the rules in the dust at the tree’s base, simple and hard, and the ring goes quiet to hear them. No hoarding water. No dumping poison. No taking from the healing beds without giving back work or scrap.
Purple nods once and marks each rule with a finger in the soil, making them official by the old Colossi way. Kaelo answers with a rough, relieved laugh and a scraped copper token pressed into the agreement.

Kaelo
Fair trade, fair watch. We keep it open, and we keep it honest.
Yellow adds a final limit on the channels, and Red backs it with a clean inventory list. Silas clips the water gate shut for the night cycle, then resets it to the new schedule Orange names.

Green the Colossus
The roots can breathe like this. Maybe we can, too.
Orange’s hands ache from the carve work, and one of his tools slips, nicking the heel of his palm. The blood is small, but the agreement stands anyway, inked in grit, sweat, and a little pain.

The carved rules sat in the soil beside the new token, and Silas turned the water gate to match them.

Orange the Colossus
Let the oasis be shared, guarded, and tended. We keep our pride, and we keep each other alive.

Purple the Colossus
Then it stands. Stone and scrap, together.

Kaelo
The Junkers will honor it. This place will breathe.
Green, Blue, Red, and Yellow watched the healing tree settle deeper into the wet earth, its leaves lifting toward the light.
The Hidden Oasis endured because both sides chose restraint, craft, and trust. Orange's cut was small, but the mark it left was final: a future built by many hands, and no longer kept alone. The water moved on in balance, and the sanctuary held.
