The village road lies quiet beneath the wardstone. Its sigil glows faintly above Silver, casting green light across the Noble, the recovering Guard, and Mirelle. Beyond them, villagers watch from doorways and behind shuttered windows.

This is a protection seal. Some seals are meant to preserve life and health. Others are made for destruction and death.
The sigil gives a slow, steady pulse. The Guard rests one shoulder against the stone wall, his injured arm bound and supported, while the Noble studies the light with wary attention.
