Adventure of The Silver Swallow 1

The Silver Swallow still grips Taramisu's rifle beside the twisted billboard. Mad scientist's monster strains against the reinforced framework, making every bent beam groan above the avenue.

Taramisu leaves her rooftop position and sprints across the adjoining roofs, pale-blonde hair flashing beneath her dark tactical gear as she closes the gap.

She reaches the billboard supports and crouches near the creature's flank. Beneath its armor, a small device blinks red in a steady pattern.

Mad scientist's monster surges against the framework. Bolts shear loose, the billboard tilts toward the street, and the rifle sling pulls taut across The Silver Swallow's shoulder.

The Silver Swallow plants both feet against the nearest support and drives her shoulder into the buckling frame. Metal shrieks under the combined strain.

For one breath, the billboard steadies above the avenue. Then a lower brace folds, dropping the sign several inches and wrenching the rifle sling tight across her shoulder.

The failed brace twists the framework open beside the creature's flank. Taramisu reaches through the gap, while the red device's blinking light reveals a narrow cable running toward the west-facing supports.

The Silver Swallow holds the upper beam long enough for Taramisu to crawl clear. The billboard remains tilted, but its fall is redirected away from the densest traffic.

The Silver Swallow releases the bent frame and launches west, silver wings clearing the billboard as the signal cable guides her across the rooftops.

The cable runs along a parapet, dips beneath a rooftop vent, and crosses a service bridge toward the dark rail yards. Its red pulse remains steady.

She follows the cable over a warehouse roof and down to a fenced maintenance platform beside the tracks. A compact transmitter sits bolted beneath the railing.

The transmitter’s red indicator matches the device on Mad scientist's monster. Its armored casing is exposed, with a manual power lever and a bright diagnostic panel.
