Adventure of The Silver Swallow 1

Midnight settles over the city as The Silver Swallow arrives on the rooftop. Taramisu crouches behind an air-conditioning unit, a slim adult woman with warm-toned skin, a compact athletic build, and pale-blonde hair pulled tight beneath dark tactical gear.

Her rifle remains trained across the neighboring roofs. Beyond its sights, a hulking silhouette scrambles toward the far edge, its movements jerky and unnaturally powerful.

The creature reaches the roofline above a crowded avenue. Traffic and pedestrians fill the street below, their attention turned elsewhere; no warning reaches them in time.

The Silver Swallow launches from the rooftop, silver wings cutting through the midnight air. She sweeps over the monster as it reaches above the avenue.

Her hand goes for the firearm that is not there. The only established rifle remains in Taramisu's hands, three roofs away, and no shot follows.

The monster twists at the sound, abandons the roof edge, and crashes through a rooftop billboard instead. Shattered panels scatter across the traffic lanes below.

The creature disappears into the billboard's steel framework, cutting off Taramisu's line of sight and leaving the avenue exposed beneath its new position.

The Silver Swallow banks over the billboard’s twisted frame, keeping the avenue beneath her in view as Mad scientist's monster claws through the steel.

Taramisu rises behind the air-conditioning unit and hurls the rifle across the gap. The weapon spins through the cold air toward the descending vigilante.

The Silver Swallow catches it cleanly, hooks the sling across her shoulder, and levels the rifle before Mad scientist's monster can reach the roof edge again.

The Silver Swallow opens fire. Controlled rounds hammer into the creature, driving it backward from the avenue and into the billboard’s reinforced framework.
