Adventure of ShadowForge DreamStalker 1

Beyond the open gate, the road emerges above a vast underground ravine. A bridge grown from pale roots spans the darkness, while a moonwell below reflects distant ward-lights.

Several roots pulse with stolen darkness beneath the bridge, sending black veins toward the central span. There, an open-hand seal dims slowly beneath the refuge road.

The sealed stone rings still block the stair behind ShadowForge DreamStalker. Through the opened gate, he can see the bridge and the unclaimed road beyond, but the threshold has not released him.

From beyond the gate, the bridge’s pale roots tighten with a dry creak. Each pulse of darkness dims another strand of the open-hand seal, and the ward-lights tremble across the moonwell.

No companion stands beside ShadowForge DreamStalker. The three-jointed seeker remains trapped behind the sealed rings, while the ravine, the failing bridge, and the dimming seal await his first action.

ShadowForge DreamStalker raises the torch and studies the ravine from behind the sealed rings. He follows root joints, ward-light reflections, and the dark pulses crossing the bridge.

Torchlight reveals shallow elven marks beneath the soot: open hands point toward three pale roots that remain untouched by the stolen current. Their alignment gives a safe route across the span.

The search consumes precious torch oil, and the ravine’s shifting reflections leave the exact rhythm of the darkness uncertain. Still, the marked roots offer firm passage without crossing the dimming central seal.

Beyond the gate, the left-hand route now stands clear in torchlight: three pale roots, each bearing a faint open-hand mark, lead toward the unclaimed road beyond the ravine.

ShadowForge DreamStalker presses the first open-hand mark. Silver warmth travels through the root, and the sealed rings behind him withdraw from the stair with a heavy stone sigh.

He steps onto the bridge’s left edge, keeping his weight over the three pale roots. The ravine breathes cold beneath him, while black pulses crawl harmlessly across the darker central span.

At the second mark, he lays his palm against the carved hand. The root steadies under his touch, and a trembling ward-light from the moonwell brightens along the safe route.

ShadowForge DreamStalker crosses to the third pale root and touches its sign. The mark flares beneath his hand, sealing the black veins away from the crossing as the bridge settles.

He reaches the far side safely, torchlight spilling onto the unclaimed road beyond the ravine. Behind him, the opened rings remain retracted, and the moonwell’s ward-lights hold steady.
