Marcus Black Eye shifts his rifle a fraction, lining the sight straight through the Ash Bringer’s open cockpit. Rain lashes his armor. The threshold glows with steam and ash.

Marcus Black eye
Stay out of this, Naira. I am not aiming at the shop.
Inside, Broken Leg jerks hard in the Hercules brawler, the motion nearly throwing him against the controls. His hands hover, useless for one stunned beat.

Broken Leg
Marcus, what are you doing? That seat is open.

Naira Versta Nai
The rifle is locked on the cockpit, not the hull.
Marcus does not blink. He adjusts his stance outside the blast door, calm and exact, as if the rain itself steadies his shot.

Marcus Black eye
One round, one pilot. End the legend, save the target.

Stop Marcus Black eye from shooting the Ash Bringer
“"marcus you and i both know that's a bold-faced lie killing me and my mech leave everyone and i do mean every one trying to be a better ash phoenix the i was how many cities will that cost?"”
SUCCESS (Good Willpower, rolled +0)

Naira Versta Nai
Marcus, that is a lie. Killing me and the mech will not save anyone, and if you are trying to be a better Ash Phoenix than I was, how many cities does that cost?

Marcus Black eye
Enough to matter. Too many to count twice.
The words land hard in the rain-choked doorway. Marcus’s rifle dips a hair, not enough to trust, but enough to expose the white knuckle on his trigger hand. Broken Leg stares from the Hercules brawler, caught between the open cockpit and the man outside.

Broken Leg
Marcus, if this is a play, it is a rotten one. Say what you mean.

Marcus Black eye
I mean the killers coming in behind me are not the worst thing in the street. You are.
A burst of static hisses over the shop comms, then dies. The cost of Naira’s words shows itself in the same breath, her voice cracks the channel open and lets everyone hear how thin the room has gone.

Marcus Black eye
Listen fast. I did not bring that scope for the door. I brought it because I know exactly where the Ash Bringer lives, and I came to choose whether to shoot the pilot or warn her.
“"broken leg head out me and one eye have one last tango and well you don't deserve to die with us" as she says this she starts up the doomsday protocol start her mechs inferno sequence knowing damn well she is doom herself and black eye since both her and marcus refuse to leave tll the other is dead only hoping that broken leg gets far enough away”
SUCCESS (Good Willpower, rolled +1)

Naira Versta Nai
Broken Leg, head out. Me and One Eye have one last tango, and you do not deserve to die with us.
Naira’s hand snaps to the Ash Bringer’s override lattice. Her thumb drives through the doomsday seal, and the cockpit lights turn red.
A low inferno sequence wakes under the deck plating. Heat blooms through the frame, steady and deliberate, not a flare but a verdict.

Broken Leg
Naira, wait. I am moving.
Broken Leg tears his attention away from the Hercules controls and shoves back from the brawler seat, already reaching for the hatch release.

Marcus Black eye
So that is your answer.
Marcus raises the sniper rifle back to level, then stops, sighting past the cockpit glow instead of through it. The rain at the threshold hisses against the rising heat.

Marcus Black eye
If I fire now, the shop burns with you. If I do not, then talk. Fast.

“i wait for broken leg to get clear "black eye you know i hate ultimatums hell it cost us Magos why do you think another one would end any better?"”
SUCCESS (Good Willpower, rolled -1)

Naira holds the cockpit line and lets the moment stretch. Broken Leg slips out of the Hercules bay, shoulders tight, backing toward the shop floor as the heat washes over him.

Naira Versta Nai
Black Eye, I hate ultimatums. It cost us Magos. Why would another one end any better?

Marcus Black eye
Because I am not giving you one. I am telling you what is outside your door.
Marcus dips the rifle a fraction, not safe, just less certain. The red cockpit glow catches the wet edge of his jaw as rain hisses behind him.

Broken Leg
I am clear. Do not let him pin you in that seat.

Marcus Black eye
Too late for that. Two Magos killers just split wide, one for the front and one for the roof.
The comms crackle once, then die again. Marcus keeps his rifle trained outward now, jaw set, waiting for Naira's answer while the storm pounds the threshold.
“laughing "then let them learn why i am the ash phoenix black eye you had out leave me to them i promise i will get out of this alive with out your help laways have"”
FAILURE (Good Willpower, rolled -2)

Naira Versta Nai
Then let them learn what the Ash Phoenix sounds like. Black Eye, back out and leave me to them. I get out alive, with or without you.
The cockpit glows hot around her words. Marcus does not fire, but he also does not relax. His rifle stays up while his eyes flick, once, toward the roofline.

Marcus Black eye
That is not bravado. That is a bad read. I am not leaving you blind.

Broken Leg
He is right about one thing. They are moving together.
The rear-spine alarm gives one harsh pulse on the deck display, then steadies. Through the steam at the threshold, the rain reveals a thin, bright line skimming along the roof edge, a targeting laser searching for the seam above the cockpit.

Marcus Black eye
Front gun is a feint. Roof shot is the kill. I can cover the angle if you trust me enough to stop looking at my barrel.

Naira Versta Nai
The roofline is the real problem.
For a beat, the rifle lowers a little farther. Marcus keeps his stance tense, but his aim shifts outward, and the opening is there now, a narrow lane between betrayal and cover.
“laughing "then let them learn why i am the ash phoenix black eye you had out leave me to them i promise i will get out of this alive with out your help laways have"”
SUCCESS (Good Willpower, rolled +2)
Naira’s laugh cuts through the cockpit heat, rough and dry, and the whole shop seems to listen. Marcus holds his rifle but stops treating the cockpit like a target. Broken Leg stays near the bay, watching both of them with a hard, measuring stare.

Naira Versta Nai
You had your chance. Back out and let them come to me. I get out alive, with or without your help.

Marcus Black eye
You talk like a woman who has already survived the ending. That is exactly why I am still here.

Broken Leg
If he is lying, I want it said while I can still hear it. If he is not, I want to know which part of this mess he saw first.

Marcus Black eye
The roof line first. Then the second angle. Then your spine alarm. That is the pattern. I did not come to admire your shop, Naira, I came because someone is trying to crack it open from above.
The rifle lowers another notch. Marcus shifts to the doorway and takes the outside angle for real, rain hissing over the threshold while the red line skims past the roof edge and loses its clean aim.

Marcus Black eye
I will cover the perimeter. You keep the Ash Bringer breathing. After this, we can argue about whether I earned the right to stand in your doorway.
