At the waystation, the hunter with the ashwood bow stands beside you before a salt-stained counter. The four other hunters remain behind on the coastal path, while a thin, middle-aged man in a rust-red coat studies the fragment.

Hunter 1
This is the warning I told you about. The dragon carved Aacluo’s name, and meant every mark beneath it.

Corven Vey
I am Corven Vey. You have brought me more than a threat. You have brought me a door.
Corven sets the fragment against a brass seal hanging from his chain. Stone touches metal, and the waystation fills with a low murmur in Aacluo’s unmistakable voice.

Aacluo
Beneath the coast, the drowned ruin waits. The key must return, or the deep will remain closed.
Blue light spills from the seal, projecting a submerged ruin below jagged cliffs. Broken pillars surround a black stone entrance as distant shapes drift through the water.

Corven Vey
Aacluo is not merely hunted. He is sought because he is the key to what lies buried beneath this coast. And now, so are you.
“*I followed them...and i enter it...as i see aacluo, i couldn't resist, so i jumps on him to rip him apart*”
FAILURE (Good Strength, rolled -3)

You plunge through the brass seal’s blue projection. The waystation vanishes, replaced by cold black water, broken pillars, and Aacluo ahead: an immense adult water dragon, dark-scaled and scarred, suspended before the ruin’s entrance.
Your limbs drive forward before thought can restrain them. You slam into Aacluo, claws reaching for his throat and shoulders, but the water bends violently around his body.

Aacluo
Oceghiaccio! You carry the seal’s hunger with you.
Your claws tear through shimmering hide that becomes light instead of flesh. The impact twists you aside, and the ruin’s black entrance flares open beneath your body.
A force like a descending tide seizes your tail and drags you toward the doorway. Your attack has failed, and the projection no longer holds you as an outsider.

Aacluo
Strike again, and the deep will claim you before you reach me.
The blue seal’s light collapses into a tightening ring around your chest while the current pulls you deeper. Far above, Corven and the ashwood-bow hunter become wavering silhouettes beyond the water.

“*looking at him, with the most, deranged, horrendous, hateful, look i can imagine*”
FAILURE (Good Intimidation, rolled -1)

You lock your gaze on Aacluo and bare every sharp tooth, pouring the full force of your hatred through the blue water. The seal-light tightens around your chest, forcing your body still, but your eyes do not yield.

Aacluo
There it is. Not courage, Oceghiaccio. A wound wearing claws.
The current twists your expression as it crosses the space between you. Aacluo remains beyond your reach, and the menace loses its clean edge beneath the ruin’s distorted light.
Yet your stare catches something his warning concealed: three pale runes inside the black entrance flare in sequence, matching the blue ring around your chest. The seal is not merely holding you. It is showing you a way through.

Aacluo
You can see the passage now. Good. Hate me later, if the deep permits you to leave its threshold.
The lowest rune brightens, and the dragging current changes direction by a narrow degree. You are still bound, but the pull now angles toward the marked side of the doorway instead of straight into its darkness.
Aacluo’s silhouette recedes behind the wavering light. Your failed intimidation has not moved him, but it has revealed the seal’s pattern and an alternate line through the ruin.

“*trying to break the barrier once again, with my stronger strength*”
FAILURE (Great Strength, rolled +0)

You wrench against the blue ring with all your strength. The seal-light compresses your chest, then fractures into bright threads as the current hurls you sideways across the rune-marked threshold.
The barrier does not break. Instead, your force drives one claw through the lowest pale rune, and the black stone beneath it splits with a deep, resonant crack.
The tightening ring loosens for one breath. Cold water rushes through the new fracture, carrying you toward a narrow passage beneath the ruin rather than back toward Aacluo.

Aacluo
Strength cannot open what was sealed against you. But you have damaged the threshold. Follow the fracture, if you can endure what waits below.
The remaining runes flare unevenly. The blue ring still binds your chest, yet its light now pulses in time with the cracked stone, revealing a submerged stairway descending beneath the entrance.
The current catches your body and turns it toward that stairway. The barrier remains unbroken, but the damaged threshold has become a usable route forward, no longer demanding another strike.

Aacluo
There is your opening, son. Choose whether you enter the deep, or let the seal drag you away from it.

“*returning the key, while being visibly furious*”
SUCCESS (Great Reasoning, rolled +2)
Fury sharpens your focus despite the blue ring crushing your chest. You study the three runes, recognize their sequence, and force the cracked threshold to reveal what it has hidden.
A pale key rises from the fracture, shaped from black stone and veined with the same blue light. The current places it directly beneath your claws, and you seize it.
Still visibly furious, you drive the key into the lowest rune and press it inward. The seal-light opens around your chest just enough for your claw to complete the turn.
The key sinks into the threshold and vanishes. All three runes ignite together, and the black entrance accepts its missing piece, unfolding into a clear descending passage.

Aacluo
You returned the key to the ruin. The deep recognizes the act, even while your anger refuses to bow.
The current carries you through the opened threshold. Your route is secure, but the lowest rune’s final inscription blurs before you can memorize it, leaving its warning uncertain.

Aacluo
Come, then, Oceghiaccio. The door is open because you understood it, not because you conquered it.
