The Evidence Goes Public

The auditorium feed remains black, its standby screen reflecting the gym’s frightened faces. Junko stands near the central console, while Makoto, Hifumi, Kyoko, and the other surviving students remain behind with her.

Kyoko

Kyoko

The execution has begun, but the cameras are not transmitting. Monokuma cut the feed to hide what happens next, and that gives us one final opening.

Kyoko connects her tablet to the gym monitors. Video fragments spread across every screen: private threats, altered footage, Sayaka’s coercion, and Junko’s commands routing through Monokuma.

Makoto Naegi

Everyone can see it now. Junko controlled the evidence, the votes, and the executions. We do not have to follow her rules anymore.

Monokuma

Monokuma

Wrong! The majority rule is still active, and the auditorium doors will open only after the final verdict is carried out!

Kyoko

Then we change the majority. Students, disconnect the consoles and preserve the evidence. If the academy loses its control network, Monokuma loses the killing game.

The survivors move toward the consoles, leaving Junko an unobstructed space beside the biometric panel. The monitors flicker between Kyoko’s evidence and the silent auditorium feed, awaiting Junko’s next choice.

“I offer one final vote for the remaining student's should I be punished for what I did?”

One final vote, then. Remaining students, should I be punished for everything I did?

The consoles fall quiet. No voting screen appears; Kyoko has already severed the majority-rule protocol, leaving Junko’s question hanging without the ritual she offered.

Makoto Naegi

Makoto Naegi

Yes, you should face consequences. But not an execution, and not a vote controlled by Monokuma. We decide what justice means now.

Hifumi Yamada

Hifumi Yamada

Your manipulation ruined lives, fabricated evidence, and nearly made me a murderer. Punishment is necessary, but another spectacle would only obey you.

Kyoko

The evidence is preserved, the network is disconnected, and the executions are stopped. You will answer for your crimes under a judgment no longer designed by you.

Monokuma

Monokuma

Wait, wait! No majority vote means no official punishment! You cannot simply cancel the rules whenever they become inconvenient!

The final monitors go dark, including the auditorium feed. The sealed academy remains damaged but quiet, while the surviving students stand together and begin recording a new verdict outside Monokuma’s control.

The last monitors went black. In the sudden quiet, the gym belonged to the survivors rather than the machine.

No execution? How painfully earnest. You really are choosing your own ending.

Makoto Naegi

Makoto Naegi

Yes. And you will face it without controlling the rules.

Kyoko

Kyoko

The evidence is preserved. The network is severed. This verdict is ours.

A truly independent conclusion. At last, the narrative belongs to the witnesses.

Around them, the waiting students began recording, their voices steady as they named what had happened.

Junko stood beside the silent biometric panel, stripped of Monokuma’s authority and denied the spectacle she had designed. The survivors had not answered control with another execution, but with testimony, memory, and a verdict freely made. The killing game ended there, and the academy’s silence became the first honest thing it had known in a long time.
