On Sayaka’s phone, the location marker blinks over a backstage dressing room. Leon Kuwata, a young adult man with a lean athletic build, tan skin, short spiked brown hair, and a red varsity jacket, waits inside, unaware of the accusation prepared against him.

Leon is right where Sayaka needs him! Remember, if most students agree someone is guilty, that student is executed immediately. Majority rules!
The dressing-room speakers crackle with Monokuma’s voice. Leon looks toward the ceiling, then toward the closed door, his confusion growing as the backstage lights flicker.

Sayaka? If this is some kind of academy stunt, it is seriously not funny. What is going on?
Back in the control room, the knife remains sealed inside its evidence wrapping beside the console, its transfer record visible. Makoto stares at Sayaka’s moving marker, tense and helpless.

A little present for our baseball star! Let us see whether fear makes him clever or desperate.
Leon notices the package and crouches beside it. The note bears a printed warning: if you do not kill them, they are going to kill you.

What the hell? Who put this here? Sayaka, are you seeing this?
On the control-room monitor, the camera captures Leon lifting the note while the knife remains wrapped. Monokuma switches the feed to Sayaka’s phone, ensuring she sees the threat.

The corridor monitors show only empty walls and harmless static. The waiting students beyond the locked door crowd closer, but receive no image or sound from Leon’s dressing room.

The feed is gone. We cannot see Sayaka or Leon, and that is exactly what Monokuma wanted.
Inside the isolated control window, Sayaka’s phone remains linked to the dressing-room camera. The display shows her confronting Leon, then jerks sharply as the struggle begins.

Do not worry, Makoto! Majority rules even when the witnesses are missing. Just imagine the evidence you would like to believe.
A second advantage appears in Junko’s favor: the private feed automatically records every movement and saves it under a restricted archive, inaccessible to the waiting the waiting students.
“Wait what Sayaka does next”
On the restricted feed, Sayaka stops the struggle before it can become a fight. She steps between Leon and the wrapped knife, keeping both hands visible.

Leon, do not touch it. This is a trap, and I am not going to kill you.
Leon freezes beside the equipment case. Sayaka nudges the package away with her shoe, then backs toward the dressing-room door without taking her eyes from him.

You came here with that thing, and now you are telling me it is a trap? Then what are we supposed to do?
Sayaka points to the ceiling camera and the speakers. The private feed records her refusal, Leon’s untouched hands, and the knife remaining sealed on the floor.

We stay apart, leave the knife where it is, and make them show everyone what they tried to force us to do.
Leon slowly raises both hands and moves away from the package. Sayaka reaches for the door release, while the restricted archive preserves the entire exchange.

Monokuma
No proof until you give me a body. Kill Leon, and maybe your friend gets to keep breathing.
Sayaka stares at the restricted camera, then at Leon. The warning overwhelms her resistance, and she takes the wrapped knife from the floor.
Leon Kuwata
Sayaka, put it down. Whatever they showed you, this is exactly what they want.
The restricted feed cuts to black as Sayaka attacks Leon. When the image returns, Leon lies motionless and Sayaka stands beside him, the knife abandoned on the floor.
