Mika leads Akuyaku, Renji, and her fighter through rain-dark streets toward Kurogane Boxing Club. Behind them, the shuttered Hoshida Laundry disappears into the wet city glow.
The legitimate gym sits beneath a weathered red sign, its windows fogged and its heavy side entrance already barred from within. Nearly empty, it still feels alert.
Mika Shirogane
They noticed us before we reached the door. Stay calm. I’m here to trade protection for answers, not start a fight.
Mika knocks twice, pauses, then knocks once more. Movement shifts behind the metal door. Through the frosted glass, several Kurogane fighters gather without speaking.
Mika's fighter
That is the same silence I heard at the station. Whoever watched me knew this club would recognize the envelope.
Renji Kuroda
So they’re protecting the place, or protecting themselves. Either way, nobody here looks excited to welcome us.
The bar remains in place. Mika keeps one hand visible and glances toward Akuyaku, leaving the next move and the terms of the meeting open to him.
