The wedding pavilion shudders as fresh breaches split its woven walls. Guests scatter through lantern smoke, crushing feast trays underfoot.

At the center, a wandering swordsman backpedals into a ring of overturned benches, his blade flashing too late to catch the storm closing in.

Jameson the tyranical arrives at the edge of the chaos, sword in hand, the breach-lit pavilion throwing jagged light across his scars.

Hold! Who are you? If you came for the bride, you are too late.

The first tribal warrior vaults through the torn wall and points past the swordsman, not at him. They are driving him inward, not out.

The Hooded Matron

The Hooded Matron

Seal the ring! Keep him under the beams!

The swordsman hears that command and turns, finally seeing the pavilion is a trap built around him. More warriors surge in from both sides, and the guests' screams thin into the night.

Jameson drives his blade into the nearest support beam. The wood cracks loud enough to drown the cries, and the pavilion roof lurches sideways.

Fresh rafters slam down between the attackers and the swordsman, scattering lanterns and sending guests sprawling from the falling dust.

The Wandering Swordsman stumbles clear of the collapse, still on his feet, staring at the broken wall of timber now shielding him.

The Hooded Matron

Kill the beam breaker! Do not let him stand!

A splintered edge clips Jameson’s forearm as the roof settles, and the blow rings down his sword arm with a hot sting.

He brought the roof down, back away!

Smoke and straw billow through the gap, turning the ring into chaos, with the swordsman suddenly separated from the encirclement and the matron screaming orders through the ruin.

Jameson steps into the opening he made, and the ring shivers apart before his blade. One tribal warrior turns to run, but the sword catches him across the neck in a single clean arc, and he drops from the fight without another cry.

The second warrior lunges to fill the gap, and Jameson meets him with a brutal riposte. Steel flashes through smoke, and the man’s head rolls away into the trampled flowers, clearing the path at once.

The Hooded Matron

The Hooded Matron

Hold the line! Do not let him reach the swordsman!

Her command lands too late. The swordsman backs through the breach Jameson has carved, eyes wide, blade still up, but his footing is free now.

Tarin

Tarin

He is covering me... now move.

Jameson plants himself between the retreating man and the rest of the tribe, sword slick in moonlight, forcing the survivors to hesitate over the fallen.

He is cutting us apart, fall back, fall back!

Jameson whips his sword free in a hard, exact arc, and the blade sails straight as a thrown dart toward the Hooded Matron and the warrior at her shoulder.

The steel bites through the moonlit haze, takes the Matron first, then catches her lieutenant in the same flashing line, and both command and courage vanish at once.

Without pausing, Jameson drives forward in a long leap toward the wandering swordsman, boots scattering petals and ash.

The blade turns end over end through the air behind him, then drops cleanly back into his hand as if the move were made for him alone.

Tarin

Tarin

That... that was the opening. Move with me!

The tribal ring breaks in confusion, and the surviving warriors recoil from the sudden fall of their leaders.

Moonlight flashes on fallen rafters and widening wreckage, while the path beyond the breach stands briefly clear.
