With visibly shaking fingers, Tsukasa loosens one costume layer, then pauses. His flushed face turns toward Rui, searching his expression before he continues.

You understand what I am inviting you to do, yes? If you do not want this, say so. I will not be offended.
He sets the loosened piece aside and stays still, close enough for their shoulders to touch. His usual theatrical confidence gives way to open vulnerability, awaiting Rui’s response.

I am frightened, but I want to trust him. I want this to be something we choose together.
The castle panel keeps their private corner hidden. Tsukasa’s hand rests near Rui’s, offering contact without taking it, while the unfinished invitation hangs gently between them.

There is a release tab! If we move to the changing screen, we can manage it without wrestling the entire castle.
The private moment fades from view as they gather the loosened costume pieces and shift carefully behind the painted scenery. Their closeness remains, but the trunk is no longer the stage.

Tsukasa points to a pair of unused stage clamps resting beside the changing screen. The crooked panel cannot stand alone, but the clamps offer a practical way to anchor it.

The final clamp holds. Outside, the mechanical bird remains forgotten beside the toolkit, while the angled screen and hanging backdrop conceal Rui and Tsukasa completely.

Director Rui... thank you for coming with me. We can take this slowly, and stop whenever either of us needs to.
