A shadow of impossible size slides over the mountain camps, and the ogres below look up all at once. Their rough chanting stutters into silence. Axes, spears, and shield rims tilt skyward as if they can strike the dark out of the heavens.

At the heart of the headquarters, blasphemous effigies jut from the snow and stone, dressed in bones and rawhide. Fires hiss in their pits. Around them, ogres bunch shoulder to shoulder, suddenly small beneath the shape blotting the sun.

The War Boss

The War Boss

Hold! No one runs. It is only one beast... and it has come alone.

The War Boss steps forward through the ring of warriors, broad-axe raised high, trying to drag courage back into the camp with his voice.

Zuhh

Zuhh

They see Zuhh.

Wind claws across the ridge as Zuhh hangs above them, vast wings eclipsing the light. The ogres’ front line shivers, then tightens, as if waiting to learn whether fear will break them first.

The War Boss

The War Boss

Answer us, sky-king. Will you descend, or shall we bring you down?

Zuhh draws breath over the camp, and the air goes thin with it. His roar rolls out, meant to crack pride like ice.

The sound strikes the ridge, but the ogres do not fold. Several flinch low, yet their feet stay planted, and the front line snarls back through clenched tusks.

The War Boss

The War Boss

Good. You are loud. Now prove you are more than wind!

A few ogres rally at his shout, hammering spearbutts into the snow. The camp swells around the War Boss instead of breaking.

But the roar does something else. The bone effigies at the center tremble, and one rawhide charm splits, exposing a dark seam of cold light beneath the piled bones.

The ogres stare at it in fear. Their ritual is not merely bravado, it is armed.

Zuhh has not cowed them, yet the broken charm shows where the power is waking. Strike the effigies, or let the omen finish gathering.

Zuhh lets the shock gather low in his chest and sends it down into the ring. Blue-black force snaps across bone and hide, hunting for fear.

For a breath, the nearest ogres stiffen. Their knuckles whiten on spears, and a few eyes go wide as the current bites at their courage.

The War Boss

The War Boss

Hold. He is trying to shake your heads loose.

The command catches. The front line grits their teeth, lowers their shoulders, and leans into one another instead of away.

The cold seam in the central effigy answers with a thin pulse, brighter now, as if it drinks the strain and gives some of it back.

Zuhh feels the drain catch only scraps, not surrender. The ogres stay standing, but their ritual starts to wake around them.

The War Boss

The War Boss

Again, dragon. Or come closer and break on us yourself.

You came to this realm as ogre are not of it, i might of went to your family and did something weird

Zuhh gathers the shock-drain again, and this time it does not spill. It sinks into the ring like a verdict.

The War Boss flinches hard, one hand snapping to his chest as if something has reached inside his ribs and taken hold.

The War Boss

The War Boss

No. Get out of my blood.

Around him, the front line stumbles. Spears dip. A few ogres back away from the effigy instead of toward Zuhh.

The War Boss

The War Boss

You dare speak of kin? You know nothing of mine.

The cold seam in the bone idol brightens at his anger, but the light now shakes, as if it cannot choose between feeding and failing.

The War Boss bares his teeth through the strain, then forces his gaze up to Zuhh, trembling but unbowed, waiting to see whether the dragon presses the threat or lets it hang.

Zuhh lets the pressure settle, and the camp seems to hear the silence before the words.

Zuhh

Zuhh

I am the big glowing ogre king as well. Your first daughter’s name is an...

The War Boss goes still. His grip slackens on the axe as if the name has struck harder than claws.

The War Boss

The War Boss

No ogre should know that.

The cold seam in the bone effigy flares, then steadies, as if listening for his answer.

The War Boss

The War Boss

Only blood, only burden, only the old line. Who taught you that?

Around him, the nearest ogres lower their spears and sink to their knees, staring at Zuhh instead of the idol.

I hold her soul to my scales, but you have gone too far. Yield further, and troop for the righteous.

The words hang over the camp like a judge’s blade. The nearest ogres do not rise. They press lower, foreheads to dirt, weapons forgotten.

The War Boss

The War Boss

...Righteous? You come from above and speak the old binding names like kin.

The War Boss

The War Boss

If he knows her soul-mark, then this is not bluff. This dragon has touched the deep things.

The War Boss’s grip loosens. His axe dips, then touches the ground beside his knee with a heavy thud.

The War Boss

The War Boss

I yield my spear line. I yield the watchfires. Speak the order, black one, and I will carry it.

The bone effigy’s cold glow steadies, but a thin crack of frost climbs one tusk, bright as a warning.

The War Boss

Tell me what price her soul has paid, and I will name the rest of my blood beneath yours.

You and I were brothers in the old flight, throwing our realm against theirs and this realm too, because it was an emergency. You trooped far and long for me... and then you changed, and sinned against my family.

The War Boss goes still as struck. His lowered head tilts by a fraction, not in defiance now, but in recognition that cuts deeper than fear.

The War Boss

The War Boss

Brothers... yes. I remember the marches, the smoke, the oath-stones. I remember choosing the war over the hearth.

A tremor runs through the ogre line. One by one, more foreheads touch the dirt. Their submission spreads like spilled ink.

The War Boss

The War Boss

I did not mean to become this. Time took my mouth, and hunger took my hands, and I let them.

He drags his axe farther away with two open palms, then lowers both hands to the ground, bare and offering.

The War Boss

The War Boss

If your claim is true, then name the debt plainly, black one. I kneel under it.

These type of transgressions have happened many times in my existence as a gaudian. I am old and stale with it. I will have to meditate. For now make a man of your self.

These offenses have crossed my path many times. I am old and finished with them. I must meditate. For now, make a man of yourself.

The words land like a judgment and a mercy together. The War Boss bows his head lower, as if the shame itself has become a burden he is finally willing to carry.

The War Boss

The War Boss

Then I will carry it. I have been a chief of hunger, not of honor, but I can still choose the next step.

He lifts one hand from the dirt and presses it to his chest, breathing hard. The frost crack on the bone effigy gives a thin, bright shimmer, and a sliver of white cold drifts over the ground between them.

The War Boss

The War Boss

Tell me how to repay what is owed, black one. Tell me what my daughter has paid, and I will not flinch from it.

The ogres remain down, silent as earth. The War Boss looks up through his shame, waiting for Zuhh to name the debt plainly.
