The corridor opens beside a glass-walled office above the industrial spine. Inside, a corporate-suited figure hammers at a data uplink while Victoria’s intercept feeds their signal across the team’s comms. Abby has a clear line of sight, and the sublevel access waits only a few strides farther on.

Stop staring and listen. If you want the real target, I can give it to you.

Arthur slows at Abby’s side, looking from the office to the corridor ahead. The figure inside doesn’t turn away from the terminal, but one hand lifts in a sharp, urgent gesture toward the deeper facility.

He is uploading through a relay mirror. I can keep him pinned, but only if we hold this channel.

The Executive

My name is not the point. The sabotage was cover. The vault contains the proof, and my partners are already moving it.

The office monitor flashes a live route map, then fragments under a fresh burst of encryption. The executive glances once toward Abby, tense and calculating, as if waiting to see whether she chooses the glass room or the locked sublevel door.

I rush the office and corner him

Abby explodes across the corridor and hits the office threshold hard enough to rattle the glass. The executive jerks back from the terminal, caught between the data uplink and her reach.

Arthur halts in the corridor, eyes flicking up as the office suddenly becomes the only fight that matters. Victoria keeps her channel open, fingers moving fast while the route map keeps fragmenting.

The Executive

The Executive

You are too late. The corridor is already burning behind you.

Abby forces him away from the console and pins him to the edge of the desk before he can slip past. His tablet skids aside, and the live map on the monitor blooms wider for a second.

The Executive

The Executive

If you corner me here, the labyrinth takes you the long way. The vault team is moving now.

A fresh unauthorized ping flickers across Victoria’s comm overlay, this one louder, closer, and tagged to the lower access grid. Somewhere deeper in the campus, a door seals with a heavy metallic thud.

The executive twists under Abby’s hold and throws a tense look past her shoulder, toward the route map and the sublevel spine beyond it, as if waiting to see which path she commits to first.

"Your labyrinth walls mean nothing to me" i declare as i begin charging through the walls towards the vault

Your labyrinth walls mean nothing to me.

Abby drives forward, shoulder first, and the office wall detonates into dust, insulation, and bent composite panels. The monitor gutters, then the route map surges clean and bright for one blinding second.

Arthur flinches back in the corridor as the impact rolls through the floor. Victoria snaps her head up, the unauthorized ping still strobing on her overlay while fresh debris rains across her feed.

Beyond the breach, a narrow service passage opens straight into the campus spine. A lower access door stands just ahead, its seal already cycling from the force of the hit.

The Executive

The Executive

No, wait. If you go through there, they will hear you.

He jerks against the desk, but Abby has already forced a path through. The office side is behind her now, and the vault route is no longer a promise on a map, it is open space in front of her.

The corridor beyond hums with motion somewhere deeper in the campus, and the executive twists to watch Abby choose the opening he tried to bury.
