Two broad blurs crawl across the cistern ceiling above the iron door. Senkious’s illusion suddenly falls away, exposing two large reptilian beings with lanky green bodies, elongated heads, and powerful limbs.
The reptilian creatures spring between the pillars on all fours, then cling to the stone overhead. Their narrow faces remain fixed downward, poised and watchful in the dim chamber.

Those were hidden by the illusion. They are strong enough to cross the ceiling without sound.
Lo stays beside the removed bell-line, one claw hovering near the damp silt marks. Senkious stands near the platform’s edge, while the iron door remains unopened beneath the creatures.

The hidden listener’s voice falls silent behind the grate.
One reptilian creature shifts its long head toward Senkious. The other crawls lower along a pillar, placing itself between the party and the nearest route away from the door.

Senkious surges across the platform, striking the pillar beneath the lower reptilian creature. Stone booms, and the creature drops hard onto the platform, stunned and exposed.
Heusbga sssi releases the magic missiles. The luminous darts curve through the chamber and hammer the exposed reptilian creature, forcing it limp and motionless against the iron door.
