Ancient RomeLentelus Cornelius Flavious
Human
A senatorial Cornelius with major land holdings in Campania and a successful career as a legal orator, it's January 25 of the year of Caligula's assassination. Having narrowly survived Caligula, there are no guarantees he'll survive the transfer of power to Claudius. Secondary to survival, the unrest across the empire, especially in Judea, Egypt, and Greece has created trade issues for the safety of his cargo. On his free time, in secret, he has a deep curiosity about a strange new sect of Judaism that's filled with conflicting reports, seemingly absurd claims, and yet stubbornly resistant to being destroyed for the most nonsensical of reasons, and he can't let a good mystery go untouched. Though initially unimpressed, he strives to make sense of it, and to identify what, if any threat it poses to his interests.
