Class 2B hums through its break, chairs scraping and wrappers rustling. Sakura’s open notebook rests near the edge of her desk, its pages turned partly away from the room.
Sana Matsumura, a tall, slim first-year girl with dyed blonde hair and striking blue contacts, leans over the desk from the aisle. Her polished uniform and bright nails draw nearby glances.

Sana Matsumura
What’s that? You always carry it around?
She tilts her head toward the notebook without touching it. Two classmates nearby quiet their conversation, listening while pretending not to.

Sana Matsumura
Is it just class notes, or something else? You don’t have to hide it like that.

Sana Matsumura
She got weirdly protective of it. Now I want to know what’s inside.

Sana Matsumura
Come on, Yamamoto. What do you even do in there?
✓ Quest Accepted
Give Sana an honest answer about the sketchbook
“Oh my god, why is Matsumura trying to talk to me? She's probably just trying to find something else to make fun of me for. I try to hide my sketchbook under my textbook and try to shoo her off. "Yeah, it's just class notes." I lie, finding it easier thna normal to talk to her since she is the one that started the conversation.”
SUCCESS (Superb Reasoning, rolled +0)

Sakura Yamamoto
Yeah, it's just class notes.
Sakura slides the sketchbook beneath her textbook and makes a small shooing motion toward Sana. The cover disappears completely from view.

Sana Matsumura
Class notes? Seriously? You’re weirdly defensive about class notes.
Sana straightens, folding her arms as the nearby classmates resume pretending not to listen. Her bright gaze stays on Sakura for another second.

Sana Matsumura
She actually answered me. Maybe she’s not as hopelessly silent as I thought.

Sana Matsumura
Whatever. Keep your super-secret notes, Yamamoto.
She steps back into the aisle, leaving the sketchbook covered. A chair scrapes nearby, and the break’s ordinary noise gradually fills the space again.
“As Sana goes away, my gaze and attention follow her, making sure she's not going to come back to bother me. I eavesdrop into her conversation with her friends, hoping that they're not just making fun of me more.”
SUCCESS (Good Perception, rolled +3)

Sakura keeps her gaze on Sana as the blonde girl crosses the aisle, tracking her until she reaches a cluster of friends near the windows.

Sakura Yamamoto
Their voices carry clearly over the classroom noise.
Sakura lowers her eyes to the textbook without turning her head. Sana’s friends glance toward the desk, then back to Sana, their conversation softened but audible.

Sana Matsumura
I wasn’t making fun of her. I just wanted to know what she was hiding.

Sana's friend
Then ask normally next time. She looked like she wanted you gone.

Sana Matsumura
Yeah, yeah. I get it. I won’t touch her stuff or anything.
The promise lands plainly enough for Sakura to hear. More importantly, Sana’s friend adds that she saw a detailed costume sketch in Sakura’s notebook last week and thought it looked professionally made.
Director's note
As the class period ends, the school day proceeds pretty normally. Finally, it's time for after school club activities where Sakura can actually work on her creative pursuits. Sana enters the clubroom, discovering what Sakura was trying to hide, and Sakura can no longer easily pretend it's something

The bell rings before the moment can stretch further. Lessons pass in their usual rhythm, and by late afternoon Class 2B empties into the corridors beneath a wash of golden light.
In the Craft Clubroom, Sakura’s worktable holds fabric scraps, careful pattern pieces, and a half-finished costume assembled over several quiet afternoons. The room smells faintly of thread and pressed cloth.

Sakura Yamamoto
The costume is still on the table.
The door slides open before the materials can be covered. Sana Matsumura steps inside, her bright hair and polished uniform sharply contrasting with the muted room.

Sana Matsumura
Oh. So that’s what you were hiding.
Her gaze moves over the fitted panels, stitched trim, and handwritten notes arranged beside them. For once, she does not reach toward anything.

Sana Matsumura
You made all this? Yamamoto, this isn’t class notes. This is seriously detailed.
“"I-I-" Trembling, Sakura has no idea how to respond to Sana, or what Sana really thinks in this moment. In a panic, Sakura just makes weird noises, blushing while trying to cover up her work”
FAILURE (Terrible Agility, rolled -3)

Sakura Yamamoto
I-I...
Sakura’s hands jerk toward the costume. She tries to fold the nearest panels over the work, but her trembling fingers catch the edge of the table instead.
Pattern pieces slide across the tabletop, scattering onto the floor. The unfinished costume shifts with them, exposing its careful lining and rows of tiny, even stitches.

Sakura Yamamoto
Nn... ah...

Sana Matsumura
Whoa, hey. Don’t yank it around. You’ll crease the fabric.
Sana Matsumura crouches to stop one pattern piece beneath her shoe, then lifts it by the corner. Her teasing expression has faded, replaced by open concentration.

Sana Matsumura
You really made this from scratch, didn’t you? The stitching’s tiny. I didn’t know you could do something like this.
“"I-I..." Caught completely off guard, Sakura takes a moment to reassess the situation, realizing that she was just asked a question. "Yeah, I made it..." She admits, still unsure if Sana intends to make fun of her for it, or something else.”
SUCCESS (Fair Willpower, rolled +1)

Sakura Yamamoto
I-I... Yeah, I made it...
The admission hangs softly in the clubroom. Sakura’s hands hover over the scattered pieces, while Sana holds the rescued pattern carefully by its corner.

Sana Matsumura
You made the whole thing? By yourself?
Sana sets the pattern on the table instead of returning it to the floor. Her eyes follow the lining, the trim, and the precise stitching with growing interest.

Sana Matsumura
That’s actually amazing, Yamamoto. I thought you just doodled in that notebook.

Sana Matsumura
She’s been making this alone? Why did she never show anybody?

Sana Matsumura
What is it supposed to be when it’s finished?

Give Sana an honest answer about the sketchbook
“"It's...it's..." Sakura racked her brain trying to come up with an explanation that can't possibly be made fun of. Coming up short, she admits the truth quietly. "It's a cosplay from Love Live..."”
SUCCESS (Fair Willpower, rolled +1)

Sakura Yamamoto
It’s... it’s a cosplay from Love Live...
The words come out so quietly that the clubroom seems to hold them in place. As Sakura pulls the fabric closer, a loose needle pricks her fingertip.

Sakura Yamamoto
The needle drew a small bead of blood.

Sana Matsumura
Love Live? Seriously? You made one of those costumes yourself?
Sakura’s fingertip stings against the pale lining. Sana notices the tiny red mark and immediately sets the pattern aside, keeping both hands away from the costume.

Sana Matsumura
Hold on. Don’t touch the needle. Do you have a tissue or something?

Sana Matsumura
She admitted it instead of pretending. And this is way more impressive than I expected.
