Icarus shudders as automated defenses acquire the ship through the breached prison wing. Warning glyphs flood the cockpit while the rescued POWs brace against the sealed bulkhead behind Cyrus.
A wounded young adult woman, lean and brown-skinned, with cropped black hair and a torn slate pressure suit marked by a yellow medical stripe, stumbles into the cockpit, one hand pressed to her side. A dull metal implant frames her left temple and feeds pale diagnostic light across her cheek.

Dr. Mara Venn
Dr. Mara Venn. I know this colony’s defense architecture. The relay can be disrupted from your cockpit, but the slavers are already preparing a pursuit lock.
Behind her, the remaining POWs crowd the passage, silent and shaken. Outside the hull, targeting beams rake across Icarus as the colony guns synchronize on its engine signatures.

Dr. Mara Venn
The relay is buried beneath the prison wing’s command spine. I can route you to its control layer, but once that lock transmits, the whole syndicate will have our vector.
Odysseus remains outside, its compact frame cutting between the defense turrets and the ship. The cockpit display counts down as an encrypted transmission begins assembling beyond the breached wing.

Dr. Mara Venn
If he misses the window, every raider in this sector will know where these people went.

“Cyrus groans, "Han better add something on top of this favor that I owe. This is already the second thing gone wrong." Cyrus release a sigh, "Icarus lift the ship into space slowly while maintaining range of the orbital bombardment cannons and support me so that the Odysseus and I can penetrate the defense net. I'm taking her down to take out this relay or whatever it is."”

Icarus, lift the ship into space slowly while maintaining range of the orbital bombardment cannons and support me. Odysseus and I are penetrating the defense net. I'm taking her down to destroy the relay.
Icarus rises with measured thrust, old-war engines holding the ship just outside the colony guns' synchronized kill zone. Its ballistic cannons track every turret, ready to answer without breaking formation.

Dr. Mara Venn
The command spine is opening on your display. Follow the blue service vectors. I can keep the relay exposed for twelve seconds.
Odysseus launches beneath Icarus, its compact frame folding through converging fire with impossible agility. Cyrus drives it into the defense net, airborne blades cutting targeting links as the ship's cannons suppress the outer guns.
The relay chamber appears below the prison wing, buried in armored infrastructure. Odysseus drops through the opened lattice and strikes the command spine, its melee systems shearing the relay core apart before the pursuit lock transmits.
Across Icarus's displays, the encrypted transmission collapses into harmless static. The orbital guns lose synchronization, and the ship climbs cleanly into space while Odysseus returns through the fading defense net.
