Adventure of Sung Woo 1

You and five other newcomers stand within a stone chamber beneath the dungeon. A broad-shouldered woman grips a spear, a wiry young man carries a bow, and three others clutch mismatched blades and packs.

Rui Kamishiro stands beyond them beside a circle of untouched loot. The slim young adult sorcerer’s waist-length purple hair bears exactly two light-cyan streaks, and his golden eyes gleam with delight.

Stone grinds underfoot. The walls slide inward and outward in impossible angles, reshaping the chamber while dust spills from newly formed seams.

Behind your group, a sealed passage splits down its center and opens into darkness. A deep, measured breath rolls through the chamber, large enough to stir dust from the floor.

Sung Woo moves toward the opened passage, keeping his shoulders clear of the shifting stone. Dust curls around his boots as the chamber flexes behind him.

He reaches the threshold safely. Beyond it, darkness slopes into a vast corridor, where the measured breathing grows deeper and the air tastes of old rain.

The spearwoman plants her weapon against the floor, bracing herself while the other newcomers retreat from the widening entrance. Their frightened whispers vanish into the stone.

A faint blue radiance stirs far down the corridor, revealing pillars carved like coiled beasts. Dust falls from the ceiling in slow, steady curtains.

Sung Woo studies the corridor instead of its distant glow, tracing airflow, dust patterns, and the slight differences in the carved pillars. The old rain scent grows stronger along the left wall.

He crosses beneath the falling dust and finds a narrow seam hidden between two coiled stone beasts. Fresh scuffs mark the floor before it, concealed beneath centuries of grime.

When Sung Woo presses the seam, the pillar withdraws with a deep stone sigh, revealing a descending stairway. Cool air rises from below, carrying the clean scent of open ground.

The spearwoman lowers her weapon and signals the others forward. The bowman follows first, while the remaining newcomers hurry after him, glancing toward the breathing darkness.

Sung Woo descends the hidden stairs, one hand grazing the damp wall as the steps twist beneath the dungeon. The clean scent of open ground strengthens with every turn.

A loose stone shifts under his boot and crashes down the stairwell. The noise rolls upward through the chamber, announcing the route to everything listening below.

The final steps end at a jagged archway opening onto a moonlit ravine. Wet grass, black trees, and a star-filled sky spread beyond the stone.

The spearwoman emerges behind him with the bowman and the others close behind. Dust clings to their clothes, but the dungeon’s stale pressure fades beneath the night wind.
