Adventure of Moonknight 1

The robber with the money case remains pinned beneath Moon Knight on the wet boards, the money case trapped between them. Beyond the loading barrier, fleeing civilians stumble into the rain.

Darius Vale deliberately steps toward the barrier, raising his pistol over the scattered crowd. His red hoodie darkens with rain, and his desperate stare never leaves Moon Knight.

The Harbor Crowd compresses against the barrier, crying out as the pistol tracks across them. A dockworker reaches for a child, then freezes when Darius jerks the weapon higher.

In the crate lanes, the robber in the yellow raincoat watches through a narrow gap, yellow raincoat barely visible between stacked containers. She shifts one careful step toward the service route.

Rain ticks against Moon Knight's armor. The robber with the money case is secured beneath him, Darius has the civilians boxed in, and the robber in the yellow raincoat is poised to turn the confrontation into her escape.

Moon Knight drives his uninjured arm into the robber with the money case, striking cleanly enough to drop him unconscious on the rain-slick boards. The case stays pinned beside him.

As Moon Knight rises, the scrape along his other forearm flares. Pale moonlight catches the armor, and the pain rapidly ebbs beneath Khonshu's restoration, leaving the arm usable again.

Darius's pistol sweeps toward the compressed civilians. Moon Knight's crescent dart snaps through the rain and strikes the gun hand, jolting his fingers open.

The pistol clatters across the pier beyond the barrier. Darius staggers back, clutching his struck hand, while the Harbor Crowd breaks away from his reach.

Behind the containers, the robber in the yellow raincoat sees Darius disarmed and the robber with the money case motionless. She turns sharply toward the service route, yellow raincoat flashing between the crate lanes.

Moon Knight lunges across the slick pier and drives his knee into Darius Vale's jaw. The impact snaps his head back and sends him sprawling beside the barrier.

Darius rolls onto one elbow, dazed and clutching his jaw. His pistol lies out of reach, and the Harbor Crowd keeps moving away from him through the rain.

The robber in the yellow raincoat reaches the service route, boots splashing past the last stack of crates. She glances back once at Darius, then accelerates toward the gate.

Behind Moon Knight, the unconscious robber with the money case remains motionless on the boards, the case still beside him as sirens draw nearer.

Darius plants a shaking palm against the barrier, trying to rise. Beyond him, the robber in the yellow raincoat reaches the service gate and disappears through its opening.

Moon Knight catches Darius as he tries to rise and drives a swift punch into his jaw. Darius collapses unconscious beside the barrier, his pistol still out of reach.

The impact sends a sharp flare through Moon Knight's scraped forearm, but Khonshu's restoration quickly dulls it. The robber with the money case remains unconscious on the boards behind him, the money case beside his limp body.

Moon Knight launches into the service route, boots hammering through rainwater as sirens swell behind him. The white figure cuts between crates, rapidly closing the distance to the yellow raincoat.

The robber in the yellow raincoat reaches the far side of the gate and looks back. Moon Knight clears the opening in a single powerful stride, his cloak snapping through the wet harbor wind only a few paces behind her.

Moon Knight reaches the robber in the yellow raincoat before she can gain the next stretch of pavement. His armored hand closes around her raincoat at the shoulder, stopping her forward rush as the gate swings shut behind them.

Moon Knight yanks hard on the yellow raincoat, hauling the robber backward. The fabric strains beneath his grip, and pain flashes along his healing forearm from the sudden pull.

The coat tears across the shoulder seam instead of bringing her down. The robber in the yellow raincoat twists with the force, slipping one arm free as Moon Knight is left gripping a ragged strip of yellow fabric.

She stumbles forward, catches herself against the service wall, and kicks the torn coat backward. The discarded fabric tangles briefly around Moon Knight's gauntlet before falling into the rain.

The robber in the yellow raincoat scrambles through the narrow space beside the closed gate, abandoning the damaged raincoat's outer layer. Her yellow sleeve flashes ahead as she regains her footing on the pavement.

Moon Knight now has a torn piece of her coat in hand, while the robber has escaped the grab and remains only a few strides ahead in the rain.

Moon Knight flings the torn yellow fabric aside. It lands in a rain-filled gutter as he drives after the fleeing robber, boots striking hard against the pavement.

He lowers his center of gravity and surges forward. His shoulder catches the robber around the waist, and the impact carries both of them down onto the wet pavement.

Moon Knight rolls through the tackle and comes up on top, pinning her with his armored weight. The sudden impact sends a sharp flare through his scraped forearm before the pain begins to fade.

Her torn coat exposes a dark athletic shirt beneath. She struggles once, then finds Moon Knight's grip locked across her shoulders, the closed service gate at her back.

Rain runs from Moon Knight's cowl onto the pavement. The robber in the yellow raincoat is secured beneath him, her escape ended as sirens continue closing through the harbor.
