The classroom door unlocks from the outside. Marcus Stone steps through in his white lab coat, syringe in hand, his bare feet stopping between Tobia and the hall. The other students recoil toward the walls.

Marcus Stone
The tracker brought me here from the living room. Move away from my son.
The students crowd together, whispering beneath the flickering lights. The open doorway remains behind Marcus, a narrow promise of escape, but his white coat fills the passage.

The Other Students
Tobia, run! He has a needle!

Marcus Stone
Nobody leaves this room. Tobia needs treatment before the change goes any further.
The syringe glints as Marcus raises it. Behind him, the hall lies empty and dark; beside Tobia, the students press close together, watching for an opening.

Tobia Stone
The doorway is open, but Marcus is blocking it.
