The army remains flattened in wet grass beneath the enemy walls. Sir jacob lies with Sergeant Aldren, Sergeant Mira, and Sergeant Corvin, while the rest of the force stays concealed farther west.

Sergeant Mira
The tower patrol passes after each bell. Between the second and third call, the postern gate stands unwatched for only a few breaths.
Mira’s charcoal marks cover a scrap of bark, showing the tower, the gate, and the narrow strip of ground between them. Moisture darkens the map’s edges.

Sergeant Aldren
One hundred and twenty paces from this rise to the gate. Less if we crawl, but the open ground offers no cover.

Sergeant Corvin
No movement in the fields. Their eyes remain fixed on the road, just as Mira judged.
A bell sounds from within the walls. Its note rolls over the grass, and distant figures shift along the tower walk before vanishing behind the stone parapet.

Sergeant Mira
The next interval is ours to use, General. If we move, the men behind us must follow without a sound.

Secure the army's passage through the postern gate
“Let look at our map list possible emtey into it with out being seen securely”
SUCCESS (Great Perception, rolled +0)

Sir jacob lowers himself over Mira’s bark map, shielding it beneath his black shoulder plates while the wet grass muffles every small movement.
He compares the tower’s sightline with the field’s shallow furrows, drainage ditch, and a line of thorn bushes leading toward the postern gate.

Sir jacob
The ditch and thorn line break the tower’s view, but the gate itself is exposed.

Sergeant Mira
There are three possible approaches, General. The ditch gives cover, the thorn line gives concealment, and the old drain reaches beneath the wall.
Mira adds fresh charcoal marks. The ditch offers the safest unseen crawl to a culvert south of the gate; the thorn line reaches a blind angle beneath the tower.

Sergeant Aldren
The culvert is secure if it remains open. It avoids the sentries entirely, though only a few men can pass before the bell sounds again.

Sergeant Corvin
Then the main force stays hidden, and a small party enters to inspect the gate from within. No household need be touched.
“Let get to the ditch filled with wat e because that water flows into the in s ide of the walls”
SUCCESS (Good Agility, rolled +0)

Sir jacob signals low, and the small party slips from the rise toward the water-filled ditch. Wet earth presses beneath their armor as they advance through the furrows.
The ditch lies beneath the tower’s blind angle, its dark water moving steadily toward a stone culvert beneath the wall. Thorn branches hide the bank from the road.

Sir jacob
The water flows inward beneath the wall.

Sergeant Mira
There, General. The current enters the culvert and disappears beneath the stones. The tower cannot see this bank.
Aldren and Corvin crawl into the shallow ditch beside Sir jacob. Mud darkens their armor, while the moving water carries leaves toward the narrow passage under the wall.

Sergeant Aldren
The culvert is open. We have reached the inward flow, and a few men can follow it without crossing the exposed field.
Beyond the stone mouth, faint air rises from within the capital. The party settles beside the current, concealed beneath the thorn line, with the route inside now before them.
“Sergent convinced since you did wear you army but your caot I need you to act like one of them then kill the secretly then get us in to the kings room”

SUCCESS (Mediocre Stealth, rolled -1)
Sir jacob removes his marked cape and gold-striped armor, then takes the sentry’s dark cloak and helmet from the culvert’s shadow. Mud hides the remaining metal.

Sergeant Mira
Keep your head bowed, General. Their patrols carry the same spear, and the gate guards watch faces more closely than boots.
Sir jacob climbs through the culvert alone. At its inner mouth, a sentry turns toward the faint scrape of armor, but Sir jacob reaches him first and silently ends the watch.
The sentry’s body remains concealed behind stacked drain stones. Sir jacob takes the man’s spear and key ring, but a loose buckle snaps against the masonry, ringing once through the passage.

Sergeant Aldren
That sound carried, General. We have the gate now, but the next patrol may count its men.
Sir jacob signals the party forward. Mira, Aldren, and Corvin pass beneath the wall in single file, while the rest remain hidden beyond the ditch.
Using the stolen key ring and the sentry’s route, Sir jacob leads them through a service court and into the inner keep. The stair toward the king’s room rises before them.
